crystal mtnLove this podcastAlaska airlines is the best airline out there! Being able to listen to a podcast brought to you by a retired captain for Alaska airlines makes it so much better! Thanks for you service as an Airline pilot. I go to church with a super senior as they Call him first officer of Alaska. From the Boeing 727 to the Boeing 737-900er you helped Alaska get to where it is now. Keep up the great work... and it would be so awesome if you could do more podcasts... like three a month would be awesome!! #iflyalaska

JennTimberlakeAmazingMaybe I am biased #iamalaska, but what a fantastic podcast for those who want to better understand aviation and becoming a pilot, for those who wish they had realized earlier in life they want to be a pilot (me) and extremely awesome for the AAG family! Keep it up Captain Swanigan and thanks for your service and flying our passengers safely for all those years!

Tom of ASBCNice finally meeting youMike, I have heard about you from Tom ever since Cadet Officers School through CAP in 1968. Very interesting interview and you certainly have a long career in aviation. I will look forward to meeting you one day. I am a 20 year fighter pilot with the USAF. ChrisNHBrilliant stuffI listen to Airline Pilot Guy and this one. Latisha's story was very well told and inspirational; not bad for someone with stage fright over public speaking! I for one would love to hear more 'Latisha's' on the Podcast as much as Mike can drum them up. Only a few flights into nearby Boston (soon from San Diego), but Alaska Air has a stellar reputation in New England nonetheless. ~~Chris in New Hampshire~~

frankySEATalking FlightMike just listened to your Podcast. Nice job. Michael H. what a great story of drive, motivation, and never losing sight of your gold. 6 years to Alaska, I envy your determination to succeed. It proves your statement, fine a mentor in the business. It took me a bit longer because I didn’t have a mentor. However; I was just as determine as you. 21 years to Alaska. You could say my path to Alaska was series of reactions to life changing events. I reacted and took advantage of those events in life. My path was more like that old game Pin Ball. So I call it the pin ball method. Every time the ball (me) hit an event I reacted. Lucky for me my reactions got me closer to my gold. Like you I had many people and originations that help me. You can’t do it along. Just to name a few that come mind, Busing Board of education, OBAP, Milson Alaska, Aaron UPS, Betty Alaska, and in 1997 you Mike S. Chief pilot Alaska. To all of you my sincerest thanks.
