    Podcast Comfort Food
A consistently solid podcast covering retro gaming from a predominantly British perspective, which I've long found highly entertaining and informative. The semi-recent addition of an American host has helped flesh out the well-structured discussions even further, from adding further variety to the Game Club episodes to contextualizing the differences between the vastly different gaming markets in the 80s. The crew also maintains a wonderful working relationship with a number of other podcasts, allowing for lots of great cross over and cross promotion opportunities, which has exposed me to just so much great stuff. The sparodic release schedule may be off-putting for those that prefer predictably scheduled releases, but inevitably there's going to at least be a Game Club episode each month and with that, the incentive to join the Discord community and play along with everyone else thoughout the month.

    Brings back old memories
As an avid retro games collector myself, and originally being from Ireland, I grew up with all of the systems that you guys talk about. American retro gaming is completely different, but I'm glad to have found this podcast and I really enjoy it on my commutes to and from work - it even inspires me to take the time and break out my old Amiga 1200 and Spectrum to play!

    Hit or Miss
An odd bunch of clique hosts relatively new to the GBR retro gaming culture scene. Deliveries range from quite well-spoken to "propa ruff" and to one being an annoying bumbling pipsqueak. The Retro Hour this is not. Expertise, experience and knowledge-wise it is definitely the mainstream popular in GBR 8-bit and 16-bit home computers and PAL console tat they excel in. When it comes to Japanese issue TV and coin-op games they are way out of their depth, often resulting in just reciting Wikipedia and emulators. The SFII episode was great as it actually had new blood that were knowledgable and experienced with interesting anecdotes on the subject matter. On the whole, if being GBR-centric and microcomputers are your bag=great.

    Time Machine to my childhood!
Have always been a nostalgia junkie, but only recently decided to start listening to the community and found this great podcast! The thing that kept me listening and also to start checking out the forums and website is the genuine nature of everyone involved. Absolutely love the specials, especially the Speccy and Amiga ones as those were my machines of choice! Also as an expat living in the US, its nice to hear the range of accents again! ;-)

    Fantastic Retrogaming Podcast
Always varied and interesting, Retro Asylum is a great UK-centric Retrogaming podcast. The hosts are knowledgable without being too technical, the podcast is edited well and professionally put together. You get that wonderful sense of being part of a conversation between friends while they discuss retrogaming. I also recommend checking out many of the older episodes - the music based ones are particularly good.

Great UK perspective on retro games.
The gold standard for retro podcasts is the AMAZING Retronauts. They are very knowledgeable and well researched. Retro Asylum is not worse than Retronauts, it is just a different perspective and a different type of podcast (mostly weekly for one). Retro Asylum is chummier, more like hanging out with friends while learning about old games and systems. The hosts are mostly great and I really appreciate the UK perspective. I like hearing about 8-bit microcomputers and the Amiga/ST in addition to consoles. Games and systems are discussed that I have no prior connection to, but that does not mean that they are not great games or systems. After all, if there is a great game I should be playing, it does not matter what system it is on. My only real complaint is that occasional shows could be edited better and the sound quality here and there is not great.

    SEPURB!!!
Glenn and Andy have one of the best retro gaming podcasts on the net. I drive a bus overnight 5 days a week, and need good podcasts to keep me going. Problem is good podcasts are hard to find. Anybody can grab a microphone and make a podcast. These two guys (soon to be more) have just the right touch. They are clean (for the most part) so I do not have to worry about the language like I do with some of the others. Every once in a while a word slips out, but they are far and few between. These are two guys that are having fun doing what they are doing, and the kind of guys you would love to have a beer with and talk retro gaming. The thing I like is they are in the UK, whereas most are in the US (like me), and it is nice to get a European perspective on the way things were back then. I highly recomend giving them a listen. Love there accents too! :) Scotty

    Wonderful time machine!
As a yank growing up in South America the European gaming scene in the 80's was always a bit of a musters and listening to these memories of people who lived and loved is like a window into an undiscovered country. Love the show! Trantor
