SVS8701A tremendous podcast! This podcast is a highlight of the week. I so look forward to each episode dropping and seeing who they’ll have on next. I love the mix of guests they’ve had so far, but am looking forward to more of the swimming stars of the past. Thanks for all you do to elevate swimming a little higher.

J. PaniniBest swimming podcastI swam competitively for 15 years, I absolutely love this podcast. It allows me to keep in touch with the sport that I love. I also really appreciate the special focus on wellness and mental health. Katie and Missy are absolutely incredible in the way they navigate the interviews and it helps the listener really get to know the athletes. Highly recommend!!!

#gogglemarksConnect to Swimming WorldAs a swimmer from somewhere where swimming isn’t very popular, I found this podcast as a way to connect to the vast swimming world. I get to hear about news from the swimming community and meets happening all around. Great podcast to listen to on long drives, or on the way to swim meets.

AprilBinTXSo good!Love the unique perspective that Missy and Katie bring to their guest interviews. This has quickly become one of my favorite podcasts! It’s so interesting to learn more about each of the athletes.
-
katbehrAmazing podcast!!This podcast is great. I look forward to listening to it every Wednesday! Katie and Missy are great hosts and really do their research so that they are able to ask in depth questions. As a former collegiate athlete, this podcast is just what I need and I would recommend it to anyone :)

jaimenaeGreat podcast! As a retired, but still avid swimmer, now in my 40s (and swim nerd and primary care provider), I love this podcast! It’s refreshing and honest and hosted by two awesome athletes who have been there-in the pool and in all things life and mental health. It’s well rounded and guests are vulnerable and upfront. When I heard Caleb say “it’s about all the little things” I teared up. It’s so true. I love what swimming taught (and still teaches) me in the pool, but I’m most grateful for the life lessons learned all along the way. Thanks Missy and Katie!

tea-berryThank you!Refreshing…vulnerable…natural flowing conversation…most importantly…remind us that no matter who we are…what we do or don’t accomplish we are one of a kind and all very human!! These conversations are needed in the world. If people truly listen, it may encourage them to think, feel and want to explore beyond the superficial. Congrats!!!

nat nationSo fun, SO relatable!I can’t get enough of this podcast! As a retired swimmer, my blood will forever be chlorinated. Getting to hear these ladies encourage swimmers, recap the past, and laugh along the way is the best way to stay connected to the sport we love.
-
college_swimmerReally great podcast! As a current college swimmer, this podcast is such a great view into the world of swimming & I love all the energy and insight Katie & Missy have to bring!

ScandinaviababyUnfiltered InspirationInspiration comes in many different forms. Listening to a podcast may seem like an unexpected place to be inspired, but the Unfiltered Waters podcast has achieved this in just a few episodes for me. Listening to the girls talk about life, expectations, strategies and have humor through it all, feels like it’s approachable to become a better version of yourself even with the overwhelming outside expectations. This podcast is so good, so light hearted and so real. Yes, the girls are amazing athletes. Yes, they interview very accomplished people, but it also seems like you’re in their living room for a girls night just chatting. The inspiration they create doesn’t inspire me to be an professional athlete (that dream ship sailed long ago), yet it does make day-to-day tasks, hardships, challenges, goals and creating community feel approachable. The way they talk makes you feel like your longtime friends and like you grew up with them! This podcast will make you think, will challenge you and make you laugh. I look forward to hearing more golden nuggets! It truly has helped me calm my anxieties that I don’t have to be perfect in all these life areas… that I can be enough and also be inspired to be better even if it’s just placing one foot in front of the other slowly. Thank you for the laughs and for going all in on doing something new all while being humble through the process of starting this and through telling your stories. To potential listeners, I hope you enjoy this podcast as much as I have. It’s good. Well done ladies.

MclaughswimsIntimate insight into swimmingI so appreciate the content of this podcast. As a lifelong competitive swimmer who is a mental health professional, I love that they explore the thoughts and feelings behind the swim experience and seek to normalize the mental aspect of sports (and advocate for working with a mental health professional!). I hope they continue to branch out to include a diverse selection of swimmers (BIPOC, LGBTQ, para). And my word is Lift. 😄

Radar bestCan’t wait for the restWhat a great podcast. We are a swimming family and this is going to be so great. Two absolute legends talking to legends. What a great start with Caleb Dressell. I love the fact that they care and show their emotion in the interview. I feel like I’m in my living room and they are with me
-
AshleykdispFull circle swimmerThese two have come full circle from athletes to motivational role models. As a former collegiate swimmer and now high school coach, the lessons learned in this can be passed down to swimmers for every area of the sport. Bravo
-
VgdrghnbcsshinvsssRefreshing perspectivesThe interviews are transparent, honest and refreshing. So fun to hear from the guests their perspectives and the questions are in depth and interesting. I will continue to listen, be entertained and informed!

hokie@heartPositivity - what the world needsAs a former “swim mom” I will always have a special place in my heart for the swimming world. Thank you for a podcast that speaks from your hearts and shares such positive messaging. Swim coaches should be asking their swimmers to listen to your podcast.
-
maddie v!Real and thoughtfulIt’s really cool to hear elite athletes (specifically swimmers) relate to each other on an emotional level!
-
JfcbhgFun to hear about swimmers’ in and beyond the poolI listened to the interview with Lilly King and it was such an enjoyable podcast! It was so fun to listen to their conversation, and it brought out so much more than swimming, like Lilly’s wonderful sense of humor.
-
Ann DaxAwesomenessYou don’t need to be a swimmer to enjoy and get something from these podcasts! Missy and Katie are so great together. Such upbeat, fun women!,

bigboijohnsonGreat Conversations & Insight into SwimmingIt’s nice to see a podcast like this come to the world of swimming! The guests have been great — certainly big names that people want to hear from. The conversations have been personal and vulnerable which is a testament to the hosts. To date the interviews have touched on mental health aspects of swimming. I’d love to hear from someone who experienced eating disorders or significant medical diagnosis or simply puberty changing their bodies and how they worked through them. Also, the guests to date have all experienced great success. To the outside world their paths are not as relatable to the average swimmers (since their “failures” are still world class) who may experience slumps for a year or two and have to figure where they now fit in on a team and debate give up all together (in high school and college). I think over time editing will improve and nerves will settle which are very minor areas that need improvement. Great conversations to date!!

CaysiSINCREDIBLEBoth Katie Hoff and Missy Franklin have done so much for the spot of swimming I was so excited to hear they were starting a podcast! I grew up admiring Katie and always enjoyed watching Missy compete! They are both such genuine humans and have put together a truly incredible podcast! I love that they are diving deeper, showing the other side of swimming, and talking about the mental side of the sport! This is a great listen for everyone!
-
AlexLRemyIt’s gonna make me cry 🥹There is something so healing about this podcast for a swammer. To hear your idols talking about their struggles, it’s amazingly humbling to know they struggled in the same way you did. I love this podcast, and I am so incredibly thankful for Missy and Katie.
-
Amanda SJRelatable, smart, inspirationalGreat podcast! So glad to hear two greats look back at swimming fondly. Their relatability brings out the best in their guests, allowing us to to know who they really are. So important for young swimmers to learn about the ups and down of the sport from their role models! Can’t wait for the next one!
-
Swimmer man 2We need more swimming podcasts!Listening to caeleb right now! What a great guy he is! I know that because I met him! Rooting for a dressel in Paris and next weekend in Knoxville pro series (1/9/24) as of when I’m writing this. Good job all!

SubwetNeeds workI wanted to love this podcast because I am both a big fan of swimming, and also of Katie Hoff and Missy Franklin. But I was disappointed in this first episode and I hope it will improve. The editing is very amateurish, dropping a commercial in such that it interrupts Caleb’s interview mid-sentence. Also the hosts should give us more history and context behind the events that the interviewee brings up. For example I didn’t know which swim meets he was talking about and how they fit in to his journey. I recommend that the hosts spend some time listening to Terry Gross from NPR’s Fresh Air. She is a master at framing the conversation so that it is accessible to listeners of many different knowledge levels.

Always Tri'ing PaulThank you!I’d like to thank the three of you for bringing out the mental health aspect of athletes. I believe athletes are raised to believe winning at all cost matters most. Thank you for reminding us that we are humans and we need humor and joy and balance and you can succeed athletically while having all of those!
-
Okie lovingLOVED itLoved getting to hear his heart and openness about the mental aspect of being an athlete… a peek behind the curtain. Such a fan of Caleb, the ladies, and can’t wait for more.
-
Woo chickThank youYou guys are doing amazing work. Keep it up. Speaking the truth is so important and the kids need to hear it. As a past swimmer and now mom of a swimmer what you are touching on is so important. I am going to make sure that my swimmer and my non swimmer both listen to you podcast. Being enough is okay, we need to hear that, especially the kids. Thank you to Caleb as well for being on and speaking about his struggles and successes.
-
music buddyExcited for More!I enjoy sports podcasts and deeper conversations with athletes, and am so excited Katie & Missy are going to be bringing this for the swimming community!! Impressed with their conversations and podcast abilities after just an episode and know it’ll likely continue to get better with practice!
-
TrueLizReally enjoyable to listenJust listening to the Caeleb Dressel episode, and I am really enjoying it. We have all heard a million interviews with Dressel, but this is different, because it feels more like a conversation, but it is an interesting and informative conversation. I love this format. Looking forward to future episodes! P.s. another review complained about too much “giggling”; I love the laughing, and the real personalities. It makes it feel fun, and personable. And anyone who says giggling isn’t professional has clearly never watched Anderson Cooper. This is supposed to be fun.
-
Sport swim enthusiastGigglyI swam and follow swimming. I was interested in this but when I heard them giggling like 12 yr olds I couldn’t stay with it. We expect real professionalism. Silly!!
