I just love Hometown Ghost Stories. It is such an awesome podcast. I look forward to watching every Tuesday night! The chat community is amazing and fun and hilarious. The Discord community is also great! Dave, Rob and Jesse are so good at everything that this podcast brings to the viewers and listeners such as the opening videos/ghost stories, the discussions, the banter, and the investigations and sharing that with us. Also the side contact is awesome and the movie reviews are also fun. I’m lucky that I can listen to HTGS while driving to and from work. HTGS is my favorite podcast!!

I’ve been bingeing all the episode for the last week while kayak fishing. They do a great job of researching and telling the stories. Their banter and commentary afterwards is funny as well. Glad I found them!

I started listening to to this podcast back in 2022 on Spotify and I loved it I have listened to every episode from the first. I listen to it in the car so I was very excited when I learned you were on Apple Podcasts too. I can’t wait for future shows!

As the title suggests, I was introduced to this podcast from another show playing one of HGS’s episodes. Specifically, Southern Gothic. HGS is a FANTASTIC show. It’s well researched, well narrated (and has videos!) and is honestly quite funny at times while being informative and entertaining. It’s easy in shows for the banter to feel forced and strained, but the guys riff off of each other and it feels natural. Kudos. I’m currently binging every day at work and only have 300 episodes to go. Already eager for new ones. Also, eff the Warrens.

Picked y’all up on Jericho’s podcast. No lie. I’m not a fan of horror themed anything, be it movies, shows, etc. but since I heard the sallie house story on Jericho, I have legit been binge listening to everything y’all have. I can’t stop. The format is awesome and every episode is hauntily addicting. Part 2. I find myself taking long drives just to listen to the podcast in my car with no disturbance. Love this show. Part 3. 2024 was the hardest year of my life. I found myself unable to listen to music on my drives to work. This podcast was the escape and distraction from real life that I needed to get through the situation. I can’t be more appreciative of this podcast,the hosts and community. Somewhere down the line, when they come back to Texas, I hope to get the hosts a round for what they do. thank you Rob,Dave,and Jesse.

I never listened to podcast before until my boyfriend had kept mentioning it. I finally decided to look into it and found this amazing podcast. I started last year in October and have already caught up on all the episodes. Jessie, Dave, and Rob make my long days at work go by in a breeze be the laughter it brings me and the stories! I absolutely love this podcast and I’m upset that I caught up as now I have to wait to listen til the next one comes. I want to thank you guys for being so much joy to so many people as well as the information you share with all of us. Thank you for making my days so much easier and just making life more fun.

Updated:: I have downgraded from two stars to one star. I listened to the jaws review for about 43 seconds. These rookies already started talking about the musical scores being Disney like. Arguably jaws is the number one musically scored movie. All the music fit the moment. In fact, when ANYONE thinks about jaws, the music always comes to mind first. So obviously it did it’s job. To down play as not correct just shows how amateur these guys are. Original review: I use reviews to choose restaurants TV shows movies almost everything these days. Five stars is given out like candy. I have seen reviewers give five stars to the Olive Garden, which is hilarious. What intrigued me about this podcast was the movie reviews I love to hear them even if I didn’t see the movie. I came across this podcast as picked for me. Although I didn’t need another horror podcast on my list. The movie review section intrigued me so I gave it a shot. I almost deleted this podcast until I heard the review of Abigail that Jessie gave, I believe a 2.5 or something similar. I have not seen this movie but I know this is not a 4.5 star movie. I am also excited to watch this movie so it doesn’t sway me. For example we can all agree. The exorcist is a clear 5.0 star movie. The pinnacle of horror. I would rate the lost boys as a 4.5 which is in my book very good plus. How could Abigail be a 4.5 only .5 off from the exorcist is just not believable. I will give this podcast another shot, but I would tell the other two guys be a little bit more critical unless you are only trying to collect revenue from sponsors.

I’ve been listening to HTGS for several months now, so it’s time for my updated review! I’m almost completely caught up on every episode, I put it on during my early morning and closing shifts. I get funny looks from my coworkers for laughing at the show, but it gives me an opportunity to tell them about it! I also met another listener in person because we live near each other. I’m hoping to join the Patreon soon, but in the mean time I’ll keep watching the show and leaving likes and reviews where I can :)

I discovered this podcast while listening to Brent’s Paranormal Portal. The Hometown crew were so funny on that show and had such great camaraderie that I assumed they had their own tv show. They definitely have the personalities for it. I worked my way through the majority of their episodes and finally learned the back stories and caught the inside jokes and loved every minute. There is something very comforting and familiar about the show- as if you’re sitting with friends in a tavern having a drink and then someone starts telling a ghost story. I love it and hope it goes on forever. I love the way the guys are interactive with the audience, I’ve never laughed so hard listening to a podcast, especially one about ghosts! My favorite are the cursed possessions episodes when they’re searching through eBay listings- hilarious. Give this show a try and it will quickly become a favorite. Thanks guys for keeping me company while I work.

Interesting and Entertaining. Great show and extremely enjoyable content. As a professional historian, shows like this would typically be off limits but HTGS is different. It’s researched and factual. The hosts do a great job with banter and stories. Truly enjoyable. Keep up the great work. Cheers!

These guys are boring.

So glad I found this show. Savannah was the first episode I listened to and I was hooked. Love the banter between the guys and the way they deliver the content. It’s not a straight “this place is definitely haunted” show. Each episode is a conversation and lets the listener decide for themselves. Their side content is awesome, too. This show has hauntings from women in white, to pirates, to shadow people and demon children. If you like to hear about not only the hauntings but the history of a place, this podcast is for you.

Hey guys, started this show about 3-4 months ago after I heard your Fredericksburg Texas episode on Haunted American History. I am now fully caught up to all 140-something episodes from listening to your show at work while cleaning, as well as on my 90 minute drive both ways. I have always loved spooky stuff but sometimes the deep monotonous voice overs can start to be boring and that is why I love this show. The beginning section on the history is well laid out, researched very thoroughly, and a good length to not get boring. Following this is a fun discussion section between the guys and live chat which incorporates more humor, ghost stories, personal stories, and is a good time overall. One location I would recommend looking into would be Mackinac Island in Michigan, might not have enough for a full episode but would be interested in your take on it. Thank you for the wonderful show and keep up the great work.

As a 63 year old cranky lady with one foot closer to the grave than these guys, I have to say- I absolutely love this podcast! So pull up a chair, grab a coffee and some fresh baked cookies then listen as Jesse,Dave and Rob make this a refreshing take on the haunts and haunted across the country. They delve into the history as well as the paranormal of the locations they review ,with an eye to questioning some of the more skeptical tales of some “haunted” places. I really get a kick out of the banter between the three and the ribbing they give each other, while covering some of the eeriest, weirdest and strangest haunts. They even investigate places themselves, making it more interesting as they give a summary of what evidence they uncover. A definite must for us paranormal podcast listeners…plus a YouTube channel for those of us who crave the visuals! Thank you gentlemen for all the interesting information and hard work you put in to provide us with hours of the spookies! PS-Most haunted in Virginia? Ever since I found this podcast I can’t stop listening. You guys are great and love the lore behind each episode. As I continue to listen I get more and more interested to investigate ghosts myself. Keep it up and you have a fan for life.

This is by far my favorite true horror spooky podcast. These guys artfully craft a perfect blend of hauntings, history and hilarity. I absolutely love the cursed possession episodes, but they also have tons of other side-content categories that are equally fantastic (celebrity ghost stories, horror movie reviews, guest interviews, etc.). The live shows on Tuesdays are a blast. Once I finish listening to all the free episodes, I’m going to have to become a Patreon member just to get access to more content to fill the inevitable void. Thanks to the entire HTGS gang for all the time and research they put into this podcast!

Until he ran away at 17 and joined the Navy in 1940. Serving in the Atlantic and the Pacific during World War 2. Anyway keep up the great work. What sealed the deal with me was when you covered the Old Mineral Springs Hotel in Alton,IL. I live about 30 minutes away from there and I have heard the tales. Your coverage was on point. Not to mention about a month before I found this podcast my fiancé, her daughter, and I had an experience there. Anyway great show, informed discussions, and entertaining banter.

I started listening to this pod cast last year and have become obsessed. The guys are entertaining, informative, and hilarious. I travel a lot for work and the content has made my drive time bearable. I cannot wait until the next episode.
