evolvenowMakes the drive home like a chat with the greatsI’ve been training dogs for 30 years, every once in a while you here a voice that rings clear and true. Grayson is this voice. The content, tone, and delivery is as warm and welcoming as it precise and eloquent. In a world full of pretenders you have just found authenticity. This podcast is time well spent for both beginners and veteran dog men alike.

Landon from Columbia, TNUnderstand the WHY Behind the HOW of Dog TrainingGrayson does a great job sharing stories, experience, and technical knowledge from his career as a professional dog trainer. Some dog trainers can’t tell you why they do something. It’s just what they think works. Grayson’s diverse experience with many types of dog training disciplines and his study of behavioral science makes him uniquely able to explain why a particular training technique works.

Millie and PippiGreat podcast with tons of infoI look forward to listening to the podcasts as they come out, Grayson has become a great friend and helped both me and my dogs learn a ton. The podcasts are packed with info and topics of interest. Living a good distance from Grayson’s farm the podcasts are a great way for me to learn more from home. Thank you Grayson!

Bryan and TangoReal authentic Gundog trainingFirst off I know Grayson and have worked with him personally with my Griff. I really respect him and his training techniques. If I lived closer to this training facility I’d be there all the time observing and gathering knowledge from a very humble and knowledgeable mentor. This podcast is the next best thing to working your dog in person with Grayson. He’s really stepped it up producing consistent content with overall dog training theory and actual techniques to get the most out of your sessions. Well done!

RW ParkerThis is for everyone who loves a dogUp front, I am a fan of Grayson Guyer. We’ve never met in real life, but have spoken on the phone and via email/social media many times and I consider him a friend. For all that, I never knew he had a podcast because he's not somebody who says much about himself. But I'm glad I discovered this one. I started with the most current episode and then went all the way back to number one and staredt from the start because that is how you train a dog. Sometimes you have to step back and repeat a few steps. I don that with this podcast too, giving episodes multiple listens to make sure I got everything Grayson is imparting. If you love a dog, any dog, you need to listen. If you love a gun dog, you’re shorting yourself if this is not your long drive companion. Now I am going to go work my Labrador.

zajyoungSpecial Space for Passionate AmateursI’ve had a weird time finding a community that fits me as I’ve stumbled on the gundog world. This podcast is special. If you want to learn about how to approach training your bird dog through modern dog training science and technology there is no better place. They have insane technical knowledge that they communicate clearly and successfully. What really makes this place special though is the level of emotional intelligence that they bring to the real questions and quandaries of connecting with a bird dog. Its just obvious how talented they are as trainers. So grateful this space exists and hope more people can find it and learn how to connect with their bird dogs.

Jimmy PendletonThe whole pictureThis series is total rundown of what Grayson trains. Serves as a great refresher for what you learn when training with Grayson. Educational and gives the opportunity to rewind and listen again which is helpful.

Rhoid of ArabiaRecent-Training with Pen-raised BirdsFirst time listener. Will listen to more episodes. Applaud your plan to monetize your Podcast; The Free Enterprise American Way. However, although your subject matter was very interesting and even important for me. You’re ad-libbing for almost 30 minutes made it difficult for me to learn from your extensive knowledge base. I’m not a pod-caster. So, I’m not sure how to even give you a suggestion as to what to do to improve your presentation. As a retired military person, all I can think of is what I was trained to do when presenting a Briefing; and that is: “Tell‘em what you’re gunna tell’em. Tell’em. Then tell’em what you told’em. It usually takes three reps for a human being to really receive a verbal communication. Hence you will have to prepare a simply outline (briefing notes) before you hit the record button. I look forward to listening to more of your podcasts. This is the first and only time that I’ve taken the time to provide any type of feedback to any Podcaster. I want you to succeed. As you indicated; you ain’t gettin’ any younger. And apparently those wire-hairs are just as tough as always!

Banjo&WillA Must-Listen for Gun Dog EnthusiastsI absolutely love this podcast. Grayson, the host, is incredibly knowledgeable and provides invaluable insights into various training techniques. As someone relatively new to the world of gun dogs, I find Grayson's ability to break down the basics and explain techniques in a way that's easily understandable for amateurs like myself truly remarkable. I eagerly await new episodes, as they always deliver fresh and practical information. If you're passionate about gun dogs and looking to enhance your training skills, I highly recommend this podcast.

TrinTrainInformative No Thrills Straight Guidance PodcastGrayson and team are the real deal! Many bird dog podcasts don’t give you the goods in the manner you want and need to receive them…this one does. Not about the money Not about the sponsors Not about the “likes” All about the dogs and that’s the way it should be Grayson once told me that “the best bird dog in the world is the one that does exactly what you want it to do” A never ending pursuit no doubt but a pursuit made more achievable by listening to this podcast. Selfish Plug: Only wish he’d focus more on English Field Cockers (or maybe we should keep ‘em a secret) Long Live The Brotherhood!

MMF46Better than an audio bookA one sided discussion on dog training geared towards gun dogs. I’ve heard a lot of podcasts that introduce you to personalities, stories and situation specific training. This is a great intro to the theory of dog training.

Robb MooreKnows about what they speakCan vouch for Grayson’s training prowess IRL and couldn’t be more excited for this podcast and the collaboration with Emily. For those of us with dogs that don’t spend their lives outside of bird covers in a kennel but instead in our homes and (gasp) on our furniture as members of the fam, this is the handler training niche that’s been somewhat neglected until now and Grayson’s and Emily’s areas of expertise offer the perfect complement of one another to address it. That shows in how they collaborate for training companion gun dogs IRL and I can’t wait to listen in on their discussion as it evolves here. Many thanks, you two!
