I had been looking for a podcast since I caught up to NADDPOD’s back log and TAZ. Unprepared Casters is an amazing gem of a podcast.

I did not have a comfort podcast until this podcast was recommended to me. I've been listening for about a year, first on Spotify, and now on apple, and it has to be my favorite podcast! Great cast, lovely hosts, nice sound, and overall good vibes!

I just found this podcast and have only listened to the most recent arc, but I’m definitely going to back and listen to the rest. Love the energy and chemistry between the characters/cast. Great DM’ing by the host. Highly recommended!

Been listening to these folks from the beginning and I absolutely love them!!! Both DM’s are just fantastic and the players are *chefs kiss* If you’re a fan of The Adventure Zone or Dimension 20, then this is the show for you!

I like the part where they play dnd and also the part where they talk about dnd or about other stuff sometimes.

I love the alternating cast model and the arcs all seem so fun so far. Right now I’m in arc 2, but I’m looking forward to listening to more. Everyone is so funny and they all have such good banter

I’m a really forgetful person, so as much as I enjoy the longer form DND shows I think this one is much more my speed. And getting to see a bunch of different ideas explored with each new arc is so much fun. The characters are all delightful (and in some instances quite unhinged) and everyone seems to have a good time with stories that Gus and Hailey tell.

Haley and Gus are a blessing, talking to each other they have the best chemistry! And even thinking about the characters makes me smile! Hope crying during the most recent campaign makes me sad, Sir Mister is so rude it’s also sad, Fabius and SK-73 are amazing! Aside from that group, everybody is amazing, and I cannot encourage people to listen to this enough. You won’t regret it, unless your ribs break from laughing/crying….who else dies alongside the cast members 🤣 I love hearing Haley cackle in the background! These guys are definitely my best friends that I’ll never meet! Distance and age mean nothing when you’re having way too much fun! ~Love, Possibly One Of The MANY Lovejoys

I love how much fun everyone has. I am not a games person but I like listening to them. The girl host does a great job telling stories. I was in tears with the big owl story they did. I hope that they continue telling compelling stories.

The premise of this actual play D&D podcast is that every 6-8 episodes is a new arc with a new cast, exploring a different place or time period in a world that is being built up by these stories. The premise is great, and every arc so far has had amazing chemistry. You'll laugh, you'll cry, you'll truly enjoy this show. Highly recommend!

Its a great podcast!

I’m so hooked on this show, I love it so much! I’m pretty new to D&D and ttrpg in general, been playing for about 5 months now and only more recently getting into related content. So far, this is the only show that I’ve found myself super excited to listen to! It’s been so easy to follow, to get behind the characters, to get invested in the main and side storylines each arc. The format of shorter stories, revolving DMs and cast, keeps things fast paced with always something new to look forward to. And the fact it’s all building on this one universe with bits to link it all together, it’s fascinating watching it unfold. I was a bit sad when I finally caught up in the midst of this arc, having binged from the beginning and now having to wait weekly, and now I’m a bit sad this arc is coming to a close, but more than that, I’m excited for what’s to come, what the new year will bring! (And the streams in the meantime)

I haven’t played D&D but I love listening and watching others play. This is the best podcast for just that in my opinion. Sir Mister Person is my favorite in arc 1. Listening to arc 2 now.

Very quality podcast, my favorite part so far is Haley quietly losing it in the background when someone makes a good joke.

This is a great and fun podcast for anyone interested in DnD or even just cool stories. The DMs and revolving door of players work together to tell awesomely chaotic adventures of all levels.

Haley is literally my favorite new human, Gus is a wonderful human and all the cast are always top quality. So much fun to listen to and go along with the party as they get into shenanigans and antics that have you wanting just one more episode! PS - Lyndell Sterling is the best for both biased and non-biased reasons.

After seeing clips of this podcast on Haley and Gus’ tiktoks I immediately started listening and was absolutely blown away by the content. Unprepared Casters has hilarious characters, easy to follow campaigns, and absolutely stellar dm-ing.

I’ve been a long time follower on TikTok of these two, and it was an easy follow, and immediately fell in love with their energy in this form, cannot wait for more!

As someone who knows barely a thing about D and D, I decided to try to listen because I so enjoy the idea that Haley, one of the hosts, characterizes on TikTok. Watching her happy serotonin inducing character on TikTok as well as many more people who also do these wonderful storylines on TikTok is so joyful that I wanted to learn more about D and D. This podcast is low level enough to overwhelm new people but high enough not to underwhelm. I listened in two days this entire seasons episodes because it was so enjoyable and easy to get invested in. I am now quite sad it is over for season 1 because I became attached to the characters, story and all. I gained a little knowledge as they went along but also now have a multitude of questions on how to play as well as a wish to build a character to play. So as a novice listener, I say, beware, because they just might encourage more people to play. As if that is so terrible. Thank you for putting this together and those who joined in 1 season. It felt sort of like an adventure audiobook that I somehow was missing in my life. I can’t wait to hear more!

I feel like I am very late to this party, but I’m loving every minute. I enjoy being here for the infancy of this podcast and I’m sure it will get much better than it already is. Keep up the good work friends!

Really great vibes, I’m really enjoying this chill funny dnd podcast.

This hilarious podcast contains so many wholesome and supportive players. They vibe really well together resulting in a hilarious show that had me literally laughing out loud. You can tell their going when playing and dming is to have fun rather than being betting partners in the dnd rules law firm. 10/10 do recommend this podcast.

While there are a lot of D&D podcasts this one is a simple start for people to listen to with fun adventures and shenanigans

Don’t let their humble natures fool you! Haley Whipjack and Gus Rachels are both extremely talented creators, and the duo’s willingness to downplay their real-play podcast compared to similar ventures serves to draw in newer players who wonder, “Can I do this too?” Gus and Haley assure them that they can, and present a welcoming atmosphere for the uninitiated. However, for someone like me who’s been playing for decades they offer something else; Community. Listening to the first few episodes I fell in love with the cast, and got the same rush of joy I feel when embarking on a new campaign. The show plans to rotate the cast and who’s DMing on a semi-regular basis, which means this aspect can be maintained for a while. Finally, the show has a few inventive was to interact with their patrons, which expands the sense of community into the real world. Unprepared Casters will introduce D&D to a lot of folks, and give those of us who know and love it a place to call home.

I love the series so far and the great directions it’s going

I’ve been dying to learn how to play D&D and this is an excellent podcast for this! It’s been informative and entertaining. I’ve laughed and smiled through every episode. Also we’re two episodes in and I would defend Hope Lovejoy with my life.
