Great podcast with great guest and topics

He leans on Spurrier with an occasional good guest Shane Matthews’s pod is actually worth listening to weekdays

I’ll echo other reviews - content is great but the sound quality makes it almost unlistenable. Clearly producers aren’t paying attention to the reviews because it’s been mentioned for over a year

Love the content. But more episodes than not, the Apple podcast version sounds like Pat is talking into a campbell’s soup can. Please fix this.

Without the HBC there really isn’t any point for this podcast

This is a great podcast! Just FYI to the creators: it has the worst audio quality/volume fluctuation of any podcast that I have listened to. Either can’t hear it, there is an echo, or it’s so loud… all within the same podcast.

Enjoy the content Pat and his guests provide. Great for Gator fans. Unfortunately the sound cuts out several times during podcasts and volume level varies throughout the show. Fix these problems and easy 5-star podcast!

Pat, your words are so great and interesting but I have a lot of trouble listening to this because the volume is constantly changing- sounds like you start a sentence close to the mic and then move away as you keep talking. Listening in the car, if I turn it up to hear the soft volumes, it blasts me out during the loud parts. Then some commercials come on really loud and the Tom Petty intro at the beginning is so soft can barely hear it. I’m constantly turning up and down the volume while driving… Please try listening to your own 10/21/22 pod in the car to see what I mean and then level out your volume so I can give you 5 stars.

The content and guest lineup is top notch, which is why I will keep listening. But the sound issues are without a doubt the worst of any podcast I’ve listened to. Any time a guest is on they are extremely quiet, so you have to turn the volume up when they speak, but then Pat’s is normal so you have to turn it back down when he speaks. And then every 4th or 5th episode large amounts of the show are completely silent, or the show will just end in the middle of conversation like the show on 9-2-22.

Almost every episode has some issue with sound fading or cutting in/out or podcast just going totally silent.

While I enjoy the content most of the time, the sound quality is AWFUL. I have to turn the volume all the way up to hear it well and then Pat has the terrible habit of turning away from the mic as he is speaking which causes the audio to fade out. Please look into your audio settings to see if this can be improved. It’s so bad it makes this podcast a pass.

Gives a heavy dose of liberal politics that no one wants to hear on a sports podcast. Yet again calling for college sports to shut down for COVID. Attributes simple ill-advised comments by someone to out-and-out racism having zero first hand knowledge of the person’s intent. He’s not the “insider” he claims to be because no one of note from the Gators program wants to talk to him. His lone question at the Billy Napier press conf went off on urinal cakes if you can believe it. How does he still have a show?

I know you’re pretty knowledgeable about gator sports. I’m a Nebraska fan and follow them pretty closely. You’re making out these Player workouts during Covid to be more than they are. They shouldn’t get more than a slap on the wrist for what happened. It’s not like it was some credit card fraud issue nonetheless, I enjoyed your podcast.

I’ve listened to all the Gator podcasts out there, and this is definitely the best. Great insights, inside information, and big-name guests.

As Spurrier says “Sunshine follows the Gators”, well there aint no sunshine if we’re not following Pat!

So glad to have content from Pat!

I was afraid we were going to lose the many decades of not only Pat’s insight into the Gators, but his internal passion to see them do well. I must admit I do miss the twice weekly podcasts, but I will take what I can get. Enjoy your retirement my friend, but please feed us never satisfied Gator fans and alumni. Thanks for all you do.

I have read or listened to Pat Dooley for what I believe is 25+ years. This is a great podcast if you want to know real insight into the University of Florida.

Pat has always had great insights and I love that he started a new one after he left The Sun. Thanks Pat!

Pat has been plugged into Florida athletics like no other. He gives objective analysis and his opinions are always well thought out. A pleasure to listen on the treadmill!

Pat Dooley is a great host who pulls some of the best guest in the SEC. His history and knowledge funds deep on Gator sports. So glad he continued his podcast from his previous one.

I was so happy for Pat’s recent retirement from the Gainesville Sun, but it was going to leave a huge hole in my tradition of reading his detailed articles and enjoying his sometimes snarky takes on Gator football. If you are looking for a true analysis with incredible historical references and statistics, then this is the podcast for you. It looks like I am the first review, and I don’t deserve that, but I’m happy that I have found his new podcast.
