They are in love, with two beautiful kids, but they are at a loose end. One day at a local fair, they come across a Christian sect called the 12 Tribes. The group, who live in seclusion, offer a utopia of love, peace and communal living, beholden only to the word of Yashua. But before long, Mark and Rose find themselves in a world of bizarre rituals and extreme beliefs, under the influence of a charismatic leader. They are made virtual slaves, the family shuffled around the world to prevent them escaping. So who are the 12 Tribes, and how has their leader managed to build a global following, unchecked for 50 years?Hosted by Tim Elliott.Have a tip of information about 12 Tribes? We’re listening! The Abuse Needs to Stop
My hope is that my brother-n-law will use his position to finally free the Twelve Tribe members from the founding leader’s hurtful teachings. Not one human being on this earth knows what’s best for another and intimidation of the vulnerable through control and fear is abuse. So many lives and families have suffered from this cult and the impact will last for generations to come. Leaders of this group, dealing with their own childhood trauma, believe they are helping others, but in fact, they are perpetuating the same vicious cycle. Childhood abuse can taint one’s perspective and trust in others, but the world outside this group is full of loving and caring people.

    Great pod well produced
Fantastic deep dive reporting. Although the story is horrific telling it is so important to tell, and the only way to stop sex abuse of minors is to shine a bright spotlight on it. Bravo to the podcast creators and especially to the survivors for coming forward. Shame on these hospitals, the administrators and coworkers who enabled and ignored this behavior. And shame on the medical board as well. Change is coming—and hopefully some justice—choose your side.

    WOW
The woman who does the podcast, those who have supported her, and especially the victims who have come forward to help bring this to the public eye are the real heroes. This podcast is proof that while evil does exist there are still good people willing to fight it. Please keep up the good fight and know that we support you. You are truly amazing people. ❤️

    Thank You
No justice will come for victims of CSA until we have more fearless reporting like this that holds the feet of the powerful to the fire. Or, well, until we have guillotines. Whichever comes first.
