    Loved the Sucker Punch ep
Thank you for the Sucker Punch episode! I have had complicated feelings about that movie for YEARS, and your thoughtful conversation helped me sort through the tangled web of why I enjoy so much of it and why so much of it is also icky. Great job, Wives Colangelo <3

    Amazing Pod!
Love the wives, and relate to them so much as someone who also grew up queer in the Midwest in the 2000s. Being a teen girl is hard, and I appreciate the comedy and empathy they bring to the show. Excited to listen to the back catalog and see what they do next!
  • NotToBeRude
    Unfollowing
Saying you blatantly hate someone because they’re a Zionist (someone who believes in Israel’s right to exist) is racist and frankly disgusting. Ironic how the hate you preach against, you also practice. Tired of these hosts who only care about their own agendas but mask their self interest as them just being “woke”

    Consistently Enjoyable
This podcast is great! My wife and I love listening to BJ and Harmony. Their natural rapport lends itself to conversations that are funny, moving, and informative.

    Love this podcast
Made me go back and watch Ghost World again. Thanks, liked it back then. Thanks for more context May I suggest The World of Henry Orient. My favorite teen girl movie. From The early sixties with Peter Selers. Really you have to see this. Also Trouble with Angels and the sequel Where Angels go Trouble Follows. Catholic girls boarding school. Haley Mills Nuff said

I want to like it more, but…
BJ is so annoying. The most know-it-all of all know-it-alls. She clearly considers herself the final authority on anything and everything. I get the sense that she is not as smart or cool as she thinks she is.

    Super Enjoyable!
BJ’s appearances on Screendrafts and The Filmcast brought me here. I’m a 47 year old married CIS male with a 15 year old and a 4 year old. I’m not sure if I’m your target audience, but you and Harmony have put a smile on my face. Great guests and great discussions! The Nightmare on Elm Street episode made me so happy. Thank you for giving me a new weekly film podcast to listen to — and thank you for a new perspective! That’s all I wanted to say — keep up the awesome work.

    Love!
This podcast speaks to a part of my soul that I didn’t think anyone else experienced.

    Anyone can use the internet...
not everyone can use it well. This show tries too hard to be edgy and smart, so much so that the analyses are defamatory. This show misses a lot of opportunities for legitimate, objective social commentary and goes straight to "I like this because... I don't like this because..." and 90% of the time, listeners can guess what is and is not appreciated based on common social mores.

10/10! The most perfect duo. Dying for you guys to review ‘Rules of Attraction’ through modern lens. As queer as it is problematic

A comfort show for movie buffs
This podcast is the perfect mix of nostalgia and learning about something new. I love being able to pop around and pick an episode based on my mood because they cover so many different things even within one genre. I always learn something even if it’s a film I thought I was super familiar with. I recommend this show to literally everyone I talk to lol

I want to love this pod but…
This podcast is super cute and camp and I enjoy the structure and production, but honestly Bj over talks a lot and I wish Harmony had more of a chance to flesh out her thoughts.

    Favorite Film Pod
I absolutely love this pod and really enjoy getting to revisit movies I watched in my youth (40 y/o here) with BJ & Harmony’s takes as well as the newer films. The hosts are incredibly engaging, insightful, and fun. The way they communicate with the listener makes it feel like you’re right there with them talking about the film.

    Love this!
I’m now listening! Love you guys!
  • DL Pictures
Has everything you want in a film podcast
The duo are enthusiastic and know what they’re talking about. The choice of movies are fun and I just like hearing both of their enthusiasm.

Love this podcast and the wives!
As someone who was a teen girl in the late nineties and early 2000’s, this podcast speaks to me so hard. I love that they cover everything from mainstream teen stuff to lesser-known weirdo movies that I love like “Welcome to the Dollhouse.” Thanks for making me feel proud to be an Adult Teenager. 😆

    My favorite podcast
I love the concept of podcasts but I’m so bad at keeping up with them - this is the only podcast I listen to regularly! BJ and Harmony bring such interesting and cool perspectives to each of the movies they discuss, and I love the respect they bring to the teen girl genre of film!
  • Jazz9685345
    Witty and informative
This podcast has me watching more teen movies than I care to admit 🌚

    So good!
I just discovered this podcast after Harmony was a guest on You’re Wrong About, and I’m so enjoying it! The back and forth between Harmony and BJ is delightful, and I appreciate both of their perspectives. Currently binging the back catalog. :-)

    Love this!
I love this podcast! I suffer from chronic pain and this is a feel good podcast and is a great distraction!! I love the hosts as well too!! They do a great job!

    Fair is Fair!
Coincidentally, I just introduced my 13yo daughter to my childhood favorite, “Legend of Billie Jean”. Wanting to hear SOMEONE discuss this masterpiece, I searched and downloaded (only a month after you covered it!). Googled the hosts because the names sounded familiar and found out it was because of Harmony’s interview about Don’t Look Under the Bed (another underrated favorite!). Now downloading the rest to catch up! Happy to have a new pod so I can take a break from relistening to my favorites. 💜

    Binging it!
I first learned of this podcast from Books in the Freezer, and I have been binge listening ever since! Love the thoughtful analysis, and the guests are always smart. So good!

    Fun Pod
This is a fun podcast and I really enjoy the hosts, for the most part. BJ comes across as needing to be the smartest person in the room, but I love Harmony’s energy. Overall, I look forward to it each week.
  • Sloan god
    No better duo
Bj and Harmony are like your Cool older sisters. BJ makes you feel validated in being your weird self and Harmony gives you the standard of good music.
  • podfan1975
    Love this insightful podcast!
I can’t remember how I discovered this podcast, but I’m definitely glad I did. Love the insightful analysis of the characters and plot lines, love revisiting my favorite movies from the 1980s. Keep up the great work!
  • HaliBuxman
    I love you both
I never realized how much I needed critical analysis of teen girl movies Jesus Christ this is just SO GOOD. Harmony and BJ share so much of their real selves in everything they bring to each episode and they compliment each other so well. Thank you for making this content and talking about teen girls like they deserve respect and are allowed to have complexities. 10/10

    My favorite podcast
I discovered TEAP almost 2 years ago right when my spouse came out to me as transgender (MtF). This podcast has been such an incredible way for my partner and I to connect with other queer voices, get awesome movie recommendations, and learn more about each other. I cannot express how grateful I am for BJ and Harmony. Absolutely love y’all!!

    Bringing me so much joy
I have always loved “teen girl” movies since a very young age. This podcast takes these films seriously when talking about them and understands how much they mean to us. Listening to an episode feels like you’re talking and debating about favorite movies with some close friends. I look forward to listening every week.
  • Cendri
    I’m obsessed with this podcast
I’ve never known anything out there that takes teen movies seriously and earnestly in a way that I do that also isn’t painfully straight about it. I’m obsessed, and listening to the backlog up to the wonderful The Breakfast Club episode that just happened when I finally had to write a review. It’s not nostalgia, it’s a reckoning with growing up. I’m sure you’ll be obsessed if that’s something you want too.
  • Hel-raiser
    Great hosts, great movies!
I love hearing the hosts share their thoughts on some of my favorite movies, and I love that they cover movies I may never have heard of! I don’t always agree with their tales, but I appreciate the way they try to approach each convo with compassion and champion a genre of movies that is often maligned and misunderstood.
  • kmc1105
    Mostly great
I really like this podcast despite never having heard of a lot of the movies they cover. Their discussions are great. Harmony is fantastic- smart, funny and insightful. BJ is also very smart and funny, but can come off as a little insufferable. She inserts herself into every situation they talk about with a “as someone who…” I often find myself rolling my eyes, thinking “yes, of course you had this same experience. Every. Single. One.” 🙄 It can be a little much. This is still definitely a 5 star podcast, but it’s much better when BJ dials it down a little. That being said- she is 100% right about Grease 2!
  • KillerInk_13

Light on my side as my ego becomes
We changed a lot and then some, some. Know that we have always been down, down. If I ever didn’t thank you, you. Then just let me do it now.

    Fantastic podcast
Smart funny charismatic hosts. Great editing and sound quality. Generally a joy to listen to.

    If this podcast’s energy had a color…
    It would be amber.
  • Ainslovey
Probably my favorite movie review pod!
BJ & Harmony are a delight to listen to. I love when they cover the more obscure, cult films that I grew up watching! They often drift to the wayside for me, so it is refreshing to revisit them over again! (Like blowing the dust off of my copy of Welcome to the Dollhouse) Both of them bring different insight into the reviews and I just love it! BJ does talk about herself A LOT, but as long as you can look past that—this pod is a gem 💎
  • iamgoodteeth
    My favorite podcast
I love listening to the hosts give their insight on all these great movies. The cultural input is so interesting and fun to discuss. I hope you’ll do some underrated favorites like My Date with the Presidents Daughter or My Super Psycho Sweet 16

    Film Convos Like No Other
I love this podcast! As someone younger than BJ and Harmony, I experience some of these movies for the first time along with them. It is a fun and nuanced look at movies that have shaped our ideas around femininity as a culture, and how they’ve aged. I’m here for every episode!
  • treeshatree
    What a fantastic podcast
Harmony and BJ are great to hear in my head, they’ve got much nicer voices than my inner monologue. I really enjoy listening to the episodes on movies that I haven’t seen and then watching them- it’s like seeing something after a good friend has hyped it up to you!
  • satansbox0213
    Please adopt me
Love love love BJ and Harmony. They give me the language to verbalize and acknowledge a number of experiences and traumas I’ve had hidden under the surface. They’ve also introduced me to a bunch of really sick movies I didn’t know my inner tween needed. They are a nation treasure and wish they would adopt me.
