nickname4commentBronco’s Wild RideThe host stitches together the crazy ups and downs of the historic Bronco. I’ve always been wanting to see the Bronco come back for the last 20 years. Really can’t wait to see the new ones roll out in ‘21

SJFELLI first became aware.......of the icon Ford Bronco watching the tv series “Tarzan” with Ron Ely. It was the American Landrover.

Txn DONSchedule?I’m caught up through episode 5. Can we get a schedule when episodes will be coming out? Weekly? Biweekly? Monthly? Whenever they get around to it? Give us something to go by. This podcast production isn’t very organized. Frustrating 🤨
-
wjcheslaInteresting enough...So this is interesting enough, as I’m excited about the new Bronco. But what kind of released schedule is this thing on? I keep checking, thinking maybe I missed a new episode, but nope!

FGtomPR Wrapped in a podcastNot a very good story teller - jumps around without being cohesive - even gets things wrong like the reference to McDonalds drive throughs in the 50’s. A guy that keeps claiming he’s like a detective sure glosses over a lot of details and then let’s that in - don’t let the truth get in the way of a good story - except this isn’t even a well told story so oh well. And that first drive thru? Arizona 1975 for McDonalds

:4?8/~xfuazhWhat is the focus here?I’ll repeat some criticisms both positive and negative here. On the plus side, good untold historical stories on Bronco development and evolution (though perhaps largely borrowed from Todd Zuercher’s book), good cultural perspective as well. But the negatives are big as well, a disjointed narrative (temporal as well as perspective), too much focus on “what killed the Bronco” vs what made the vehicle great, and WAY too much about OJ given that the final conclusion (supposedly) is that other factors contributed more to Ford’s discontinuing the brand. Seriously why were the events of 1994 in essentially ALL of the first 4 episodes?? This wreaks of blatant sensationalism and it definitely detracts from the podcast. Here’s hoping that episodes 5+ stop talking about that impertinent piece of Bronco lore, and more about why folks love and continue to pimp the brand.

shalifaripWishingWishing they came out regularly since Ford app suggested I listend to them. Hubby work got him a new one this year. Need the app for starting and unlocking.
-
2JZCNot enough info, too much OJSpent several episodes mentioning and talking about the OJ chase, and not enough actual technical information about the Bronco. Weird pauses in the audio edit, and voiceover all too often interrupted interviews.
-
BimmerluvrGreat take on the Bronco in history! This is a very well researched story with great guests and I plan on watching the whole series. Never been a big truck or 4x4 fan but the history of the auto industry during the Bronco’s existence is very interesting. One inexcusable flaw by a guest historian states that the OJ Bronco is as famous as the Bonnie & Clyde Dodge! Really? I’ve never seen Bonnie & Clyde’s Dodge. Clyde liked Fords! With a V8 of course! And they died in a 1934 sedan deluxe! Just had to set the record straight. Great show none the less.

James d.H.Great PodcastGreat podcast

Corvetteman45Good jobI recognize your voice from NPR stories. Thanks for putting a little story about Americana together for us. When I was a kid (I’m older than you), folks that had a Bronco were going off on Route 66 trips and living that American road-trip vacation dream. Good times and thanks for the re-memories.

rdubb73Great Bronco & Automotive History!if you like Bronco’s or just great automotive history - you will love the depth Bring Back Bronco chronicles and achieves! 5 stars all day!

Walton SmithLove the podcastI first heard about you on Past Gas. I extremely enjoy learning the history of the bronco and how it connects to the world. Can’t wait for the next episode!!

Npd4432Lose the politicsLose the politics, I didn’t want to listen to hear about the bronco as compared to MLK.
-
JETurnerNot organized in a logical wayThe host is kind of all over the place. He seems to use musical transition and sound drops to stretch the time in a way that is oddly random. The guests are good but after awhile you get bored of the “fish stories” that the guest tell and you just want an unbias telling of the history of Bronco. Also many of the subjects talked about might be better on an YouTube video than a podcast. Lots of visual references that fall flat to a listener. And lastly what is with the politics!? Remove the political content and you could get to the point much much fast.
-
SmokeWagonSo, Progressives killed the Bronco? The podcast starts innocently enough. Detroit. Post war America. Rugged spirit. The promise of the behind the scenes story of our beloved truck. Inexplicably though, they decided to weave completely irrelevant stories of racism and wokeness throughout - MLK actually gave the I had A Dream speech in Detroit! White flight! Blacks were rooting for OJ - Whites jumped to conclusions! I’m sure that the launch of the 2021 Bronco will be compared to BLM, the toppling of Lincoln statues, looting Apple stores, and the burning police precincts. The actual story of a little truck that could would have been so much more fun if we could more about Broncos in Iceland and less of the author’s irrelevant opinions.

DLRGreat StorytellingThe first three episodes leave me wanting more!
-
Dustin SKPast gas got me!Heard the first ep on pst gas and instantly was hooked! The detail and way he’s putting the info out is very linear, and easy to follow even if your listening while doing something else. Can’t wait for the next ep to drop!

Yung Bayou BoostA must for car fans everywhere.Any car-guy or -gal will love this one. Ford is clearly proud of what it produces, and they have reason to be.

slang of agesWelcome to mediocrity! ( The Bronco, not the podcast)Car lovers love nostalgia above mediocre cars. The excitement of the Bronco is an excellent example of us remembering a vehicle which really wasn't that special. The podcast, however, is a unique look at the kind of rise and fall of the Ford Bronco. For that we thank you. I guess I'll have to do a podcast on the Dodge Dart....
-
KwgarrisonWhy the Wokeness? This could have been simply a awesome story and lesson on the Bronco history. The political SJW bs is unnecessary, and was not unique to the Bronco, or even Ford.
-
west seattleiteA car podcast about much more than a carNormally I’m not that into cars, but Sonari’s energy and enthusiasm hooked me right away. I like how the podcast is bringing in so much history about Detroit - including fantastic archival tape of MLK delivering his “I have a dream” speech there months before he delivered it in Washington. Sonari’s writing and delivery are fresh and engaging. Highly recommend!
-
BernardoEscobedoGood at first but...Gets political real quick.

Ghost of your fatherWhere is the rest of the story?I have listen to both episode 1 and 2, at the end of 2 he eludes to a 3rd but I’m unable to find it. It has left me wanting more.
-
harry balsagniaGood until it got politicalPart two starting with white flight and systemic racism isn’t what I’m trying to hear about when I’m listening to something about history of a car. Keep politics out of it. Left or right no one came here to get a political lecture
-
VictusvitaThorough-bred historyHaha, loving the transparency ford has presented in the thorough recounting of this vehicles history. It’s so good, and manages to be entertaining too!
-
Todd ZuercherGreat podcasts!I’ve listened to both episodes available and they’re both great. I really appreciate the background on Detroit during that time period.
-
GimmeStoriesRight on!Oh, yeah! I can tell that this is going to be a really good listen. Sounds like Ford really dug deep for this series — nice work!
