virgsahaPunjab’s 2-Decade StallDo you see people lining up to leave only in Punjab? I would like to see similar Cut The Clutter on similar sized states (based on population). I see plenty of people leaving from states like Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Gujarat, Kerala to foreign lands such as the usual US, UK, Canada and the middle-east but also to now Australia, New Zealand and others. Imo, this is a larger growth issue, and inability of the governments both at state level and the Center to create enough jobs with living wages to support a family. Unless that’s addressed the exodus out of India will continue and may accelerate. Look at the stats of people giving up citizenship. It hit record 250,000+ after COVID pandemic. The government policies have to change to move people from low-returns agricultural jobs to higher paying industrial jobs in millions.

RicPunjJournalismShekhar Gupta has a flair and simple in presenting facts, presenting multiple viewpoints. I loved his Walk the Talk on NDTV which sadly has been discontinued. It would be nice to see him outdoors from his office, but keep up the good work. I like his honesty in asking for subscriptions. I hope a lot of viewers actually subscribe. .

Enemy_MineApologia!I’m a big fan of most Print journalists & their work but not of the recent work by Jyoti Malhotra on India Pakistan Bangladesh relations. She seems to be apologizing for the idiot Pakistani commentator about being thrilled that the Pak team captain read namaaz in front of the Indian team. What is the Indian fault in that? Except getting smoked by an average Pak team of course. And she seems to somehow feel sorry for the Bangladeshi artists exhibition being canceled while justifying the anti Hindu riots in Bangladesh because, you know, the Quran is “so sacred”. Disgustingly apologetic for no reason.

Abhishek MuleyNews behind the news but review requiredMost of the episodes are very informative and provide news behind the news. I listen to this podcast everyday as it gives me news without the theatrics of current Indian media. Being said that sometimes episode goes off the track. Also, recorded episodes should be heard by someone like a peer review before you publish it. There are some sentence which are related or informal talk is also recorded due to a lack of review or bad editing.

subscriber_1Good content, bad presentationI have been following The Print for about 2 years now and I find the news channel itself very informative. I was eagerly awaiting the podcast version because that is my preferred media source. However, the podcast is very disappointing. The sound quality is so poor, as is the diction of the reporters. I can hear construction noise in the background of recordings and many podcasts are just someone reading an article. They need to do much better if launching a podcast is really a priority for the team. For now it seems like a very half hearted effort.

Master Chief DaddyAudio Quality is dropping but content is goodHave been a listener for many years as I like the content and the coverage of current affairs. How ever of late they have hired a bunch of folks to simply read out written articles. In spite receiving negative feedback about the elocution skills of some of these folks they continue to proceed with the same. That leaves a bad taste when folks cannot understand the difference between decade and decayed , pronounce rural as rulal, do not know how to pronounce Biden, Barack Obama , grievance etc. Much to my surprise one pronounced even the stage name of Assam incorrectly. Needless to say they have lowered the bar on hiring and probably do not even bother to hear their own podcasts once they are recorded . If you cannot verbalize accept and except correctly then you shouldn’t be in a verbal profession in my opinion. I am not complaining about accent but just about bad pronounciation as Mr Shekhar Gupta has tried to use accent as defense. Sad to see him not owning up as he frequently exhorts others to own up to mistakes and make improvements.

drylwlsnTruly insightful perspectives on scienceCut the Clutter provides excellent insight and explanations on current topics of science and society, which include an understanding of how the commenter has reach their conclusions. This way one can somewhat examine the logic behind an opinion. As an example, episode #551 uses the Kargil War as an analogy for how the human immune system works in response to the coronavirus and COVID 19.
