Thorough content and polished/professional while still being passionate about the teams they cover. I also really appreciate the coverage they have started giving to UI WBB as the program has transformed during the Shauna Green era. Well done across the board!

What I LOVE about this pod is how casual it is. Jeremy, Joey, and Derek all come across as friends, just relaxing, talking about their favorite team. I could totally see myself just sitting at bar with any of them, talking about the Illini. The informal nature of Illini Inquirer makes it so much fun for me to listen to.

Of all the sports I consume and all the teams I follow, Illini Inquirer provides some of the best coverage of any of them. The podcast strikes the right balance of covering Illini sports: not cynically pessimistic or disingenuously optimistic. They are realistic in their outlooks with reasons for concern while also providing reasons to be hopeful. They do a great job of covering the basketball and football teams even during the off-seasons and don’t fall prey to becoming gimmicky. Simply put, if you care about the Illini or Big Ten sports this has to be one of your go-to podcasts and, while you’re at it, subscribe to the site as well!

I can’t say enough good things about this podcast. Love the content. Love the balanced approach to presentation of the facts. Love the collaboration and dynamics that exist between the different guys who frequent the show.

I always look forward to listening to this podcast after every game, Jeremy Werner, Derek Piper, and Joey Wagner give the best insight on Illinois basketball and football.

For football and basketball the Illini Inquirer is hands down the best podcast out there. Jeremy, Joey, Derek, and with J and Latulip, I feel like I learn something each listen.

The podcast is professionally done with great audio quality from hosts and any guests. Illini content is top notch on both football and basketball side. J Leman and Mike LaTulip amazing guests to breakdown games.

Illinois fans are beyond lucky to have Jeremy Werner providing completely thorough, thoughtful and mature coverage of Illinois athletics. Wagner and Piper are fantastic writers and fun guys to listen to as well.

I love this podcast, I’ve followed Jeremy and Co for a long time and they are some of the best in the biz. My only frustration with the podcast is it seems like they continue to give less and less actual information. I understand them being somewhat vague, pushing you towards their paid memberships, but this pod is losing some of its luster for me with the lack of any in depth info.

This podcast is the main reason I belong. Compared to another podcast this is much more professional.

Jeremy and Illini Inquirer staff provide absolutely incredible content focused on the Illinois Athletics programs. From former-player film breakdowns, to recruiting storylines and the all important context setting, this podcast delivers it all. Not only to they provide top notch analysis and coverage in the Champaign-Urbana market, their content is often more well researched and written than a lot of other major national journalistic outlets.

Listen to Illini Inquirer regularly. Love Jeremy Werner & Friends. Tough to find quality coverage outside of Central Illinois. Keep up the good work!

A fun and insightful podcast full of analysis of all things Illini. Really enjoy hearing from opposing team commentators. They discuss, not argue, about the team. It’s my favorite podcast to listen to while working out.

Jeremy and the team do great work. I really appreciate their objectivity and professionalism.

Jeremy, Derek, and Joey bring the best coverage of Illini sports, bar none. Only 4 stars because I feel Joey’s commentary can feel repetitive of what Jeremy has just said, especially when it’s just the two of them without Derek. Awesome job outside of that, though! Love the expert analysis specials with Leman/LaTulip.

I really enjoy these pods about my Alma Mater. Werner, Piper and Wagner and the experts they bring in do a great job breaking things down. Keep up the great job. Oskeewowow!

Great Illini coverage. Love the pods with Latulip and Leman. The only downside is that Werner can get a bit preachy and talk down to those who think differently than him.

WHY NOT?

I’ve been listening ever since this podcast kicked off. It’s my favorite pod hands down. Jeremy Werner is the best in the business and has an excellent team. They provide a wealth of information in an even keeled, objective manner that can be hard to come by in the sports world. GO ILLINI!

This is the one if you want in-depth coverage, all the right topics covered in detail, top notch journalism, and former Illini athletes taking part. The team are either exceptional at journalism or former players, and it shows.

I have been listening to this podcast since episode 1 and I don’t think I have missed a single episode. Definitely the best Illini centric podcast out there and if you don’t already subscribe to the Illini Inquirer website, you are missing out on the best coverage of your favorite college team!

Excellent Illini coverage across the board! Jeremy does an excellent job covering everything Illinois sports from basketball and football to recruiting and everything in between! Excellent listen while working or exercising.

A great portal for illini news, rumors and insight. I think these guys give an honest review/preview of the illini news with frequent updates.

Great Content when you want detailed objective insights regarding Illini sports. These guys are not afraid to ask the hard questions. You can tell these guys know how to build relationships which allows them to remain conversational when interviewing high profile coaches and athletes

I loved the Sean Evans episode. Joey did a great job in that interview and Sean should definitely be asked to come back and talk during football season.

I really enjoy this podcast, especially the “Mondays with Mike” episodes. JW and Carp have really great chemistry and, consequentially, those episodes are especially enjoyable to listen to (even when the Bears/Illini football results are so bad that they probably aren’t worthy of discussion). I also love hearing J on the podcast because his energy and insights are always entertaining and enlightening. I get a “Christmas morning” feeling whenever I see a new II podcast is posted, so Kudos to Jeremy and all of his guests for producing such good content on a consistent basis.

JW is a great journalist and very insightful. Does a great job with the website as well!

The place to go for Illinois Football coverage. It doesn’t get better.
