Sports popsTrue DC originalLong time first time. I’ve been a fan of Washington DC sports since the 1980s and I’ve been listening to podcasts for at least 15 years but in the last two years, I have really grown to become a huge fan of the Kevin Sheehan show which he does a great job of doing a radio show that can also be enjoyed as a podcast. Good insight, good takes. Keep it up

zeke HttrPlease no moreHey Kevin love the show 5 stars as always but I have a question why can’t thom do a solo show when you’re on vacation?? I think we the fans would love to hear thom cook on any topic let’s be honest we all know who’s the star of the show is 😂😂😂 Go Skins !!
-
Linx1963Oh man here we go…Love the show Kevin, love the insight and POV you provide…and regardless give you a 5 star…just dont mess with the “Snyder” talk anymore…sometimes I feel like you guys just don’t wana let it go…trust, I get the roller coaster experience and skepticism….and how easy it was to have constant news to report with that era…but that ship has sailed…Thom simply just sounds like he’s whining all the time and that is def a turnoff…however his insight does have merit and I respect it….just because someone doesn’t agree with everything doesn’t mean you don’t have a great show! Good job to the both of u Ogs…you simply can’t ignore experience and you guys def have it!

schaubtexTexas Terp loves the showGreetings from Dallas. As a DC transplant I really enjoy listening daily to Kevin’s insights on Terps

Dave from AlexandriaA $20 Hooker?Love the show from day one. Grew up at RFK in 80’s. Went to all the same big games as you. My dad went to Kentucky v. Texas Western at Cole Field House as did your father. Loved the Captain Fantastic Elton John pinball machine reference. My family had one in our house as a kid. We used to play “hotfoot” game on Captain Fantastic. Loser put up his shoe, we would take aerosol can and lighter and flame the losers foot. Happy memories! Dave from Alexandria.

TheFredSkinOpen a dictionary!my apologies, Kevin. That was an accidental resend a review from last fall. even though I don't care about Maryland basketball listening to the show now when I have plenty of commanders options, just to hear the banter about tommy's birthday! Enough said!

HTTDubsTE ProwessKev 5 stars as always. I know we don’t hear from Cooley as much as Logan, but the way the two of them breakdown players, positions, schemes are elite! Especially Logan he is excellent and enjoy his appearances.

jojojacob85Reasons for 49ers eating cap hitHey Kev. Just finished listening to your show with Thom. Great show as always. You guys were questioning the possible red flags of the DeeBo situation in regards to the 49ers eating the cap hit. I believe that the 9ers would have had to pay him almost 16 million in roster bonuses if they didn’t trade him before a certain day in March. Keep up the great work. Jojo from the 757!!!!

sincfgceuljbdLove the show, please god no more TedTed is insufferable, why have him on to slowly pat his own back for an hour. Kevin and Lovey are great though

NFL field goal kicker 999NFL, College sports, et alKevin / Thom... as always loved the show -been a long long time listener. Question for Kevin: how did you not put Philadelphia in the insufferable fan base category? Also Pittsburgh fans in this area are insufferable. but Philly fans have always been the worst… They beat up the chief and Santa Claus for Goodness sakes! Again great show but I had to vent

L. SleeperLouis from NorfolkKevin , long time listener. I grew up a Redskins fan. I have a group of passionate friends that are fans. I live in southern Virginia. Does our TV rating count as local? I think that there are a lot of Fans of this team in Virginia and nation wide. The issue with the name is all about winning in my opinion. I agree that the reason for the name being changed was ridiculous. However for me, if they beat up on teams year to year and win a Super Bowl or multiple super bowls. At the end of the day this is still the team I have been a fan of my whole life, it’s not like I picked a new team when the name changed, so if they win super bowls they can change there name every year for all I care. Thanks for the show as always.

Mt O RobI’m OutCommies are not my team. Great season but I’m not interested in supporting an expansion team. Dallas Cowboys… Philadelphia Eagles…. Washington Commies. You guys are great, but I’m done.

Runkmc89Tommy PurifyLongtime listener to the show and especially enjoy when Thom is on. Kevin, this time of year can be difficult for many of us due to the weather and the finality of football season. But one thing that I’ve looked forward to over the past couple of years was tuning into your show during this time of year to hear Tommy Purify serenade the masses with his ever so confident vocals. We all know Thom doesn’t lack any self confidence. Thom, I know things didn’t go as planned for you in the music business and you had to abruptly and sadly retire Tommy Purify. But…..as you say about the Dan Snyder era, sometimes you have to suspend reality and I think a come back is on the horizon. Besides, everyone loves a good come back story and what would a menu of excellence be without Tommy Purify giving the people what they want! Love the show and keep up the good work. Hail to the Skins!

BCelts32Enraged By HarrisHi Kevin, I previously did a review of your great show but wanted to contact you again following todays press conference. I am sick to my stomach just like I was on 2/2/22 after listening to Harris today. Josh Harris said on his first day of ownership that its not what he thinks about the name but rather what the fans think. So since that day I waited while he ducked the rebrand question one time after another. I believed eventually Harris would speak to the fans and tell us he would rebrand or at least tell us why he wouldn't rebrand. And I believed that I would hopefully be able to have closure and move forward one way or the other as a fan of the team. However, the way Harris chose to answer the question today has left me enraged. After being handed a rebrand done by outsiders that no Redskins fans wanted we are now being told that the opinion of current players and coaches who all will come and go means more then the opinions of lifelong fans of the team. Harris did not even mention the fans.! I am more furious then ever after these comments and I don't even know where to go from here. One thing im sure of is I am more resolved then ever is that i will never spend a penny on anything Commie related. Keep up the great work on the beat podcast in the business 🍻 Kevin McHale

Jonas in RichmondNever Let The Name Issue GoI know the name Redskins is lost in today’s society, but Commanders just cannot stay. Even after an unexpectedly awesome season, the name and the neglected stadium still have the stench of Snyder on them. Both must be remade. Bring back our true colors and jerseys so it doesn’t look so unfamiliar. These actions would go a long way to bringing back those of us with a passion deficit. PS -Such a great show! The Loverro episodes are the best.
-
BTJR1965Great job and thought.Always enjoy Kevin’s podcast have been a Redskins fan since 1972. The extra episodes getting everyone ready for the NFC Championship gave have been a pleasure to listen to. Keep up the great work. Thank you

NatsSkinsCapsLost fans…@kevinsheehanDC you’re point on Tuesday with Thom about some not enjoying the run to the NFC Championship because of the name is 100% true. I grew up a Skins fan in NoVa and lived thru the beginning of the Snyder era in high school. One of my best friends was even more die hard and through college and our early careers we both couldn’t help but lose interest in the team. We used to argue about depth charts, go to pre-season games and stay connected as friends mostly thru our fandom. I messaged him earlier this week since he now lives in Philly and his response to me was “I think I may or may not have told you this, but when they made the switch from football team to commanders, I had enough. I could handle football team. Commanders, the arena football league uniforms, all of it… too much. Been in Philly for 18 years. Decided a few years back that I’d start supporting all Philadelphia teams. So sorry, but GO BIRDS!” I can’t say that I blame him, but it was another gut punch reminder of the toll the last 25-30 years took on the fan base. Love the show and am so grateful to have had a full season + 3 weeks (and counting) of meaningful games to hear you breakdown!

jbterpLiving outside the DC areaBut grew up in Maryland .. the KS podcast is great way to get an honest account/stay current of the state of the sports union (or lack therof) all things washington sports .. Kevin Sheehan is just excellent .. plain & simple fantastic

Always skinsAfter game podcastI am grateful for your after game podcasts, I drive a truck and get up at 2am. Many games this year I was not able to watch but knowing in the morning I could get a review on the game is very satisfying. I then watch the game when I get a moment and already know what to look for. Thank you. It doesn’t hurt to hear the enthusiasm in your voice about the game. I listen every day and enjoy all your guests.
-
RJRJR1Best DC Sports PodIf you’re into DC sports (the Football Team, in particular), this is the show for you. Kevin is fantastic on all fronts. Even better when he’s with Thom, Doc, Gruden or Cooley. Used to love when he would do the Winter Weather forecast on TK’s show. A highlight of the year.
-
Fancy-oantsMy Commanders CompanionI have listened to the show for some time, but Kevin and his guests have become my steady companion during this amazing postseason run. I love his analytic approach to the game paired with historical global context and personal commentary. I take Kevin with me when I’m taking a run, when I’m in the car, or when I’m cooking. They say our society is suffering a loneliness epidemic right now; between game day watch companions and Kevin I am in good shape!!!
-
Brooklyn PooKevin - Cooley - Thom are fantastic!Listened to the pod yesterday with the Lions post game guy. He’s giving us no chance, & truly did not understand anything about who Washington was this year on 4th down. He didn’t understand why Dan went for it. Well, we scored 14 points instead of 12, but more than that I don’t think anyone has really thought about how PROLIFIC JD & WSH has been this year on 4th down. They are the most successful team in NFL history on 4th down. The drives that didn’t end due to those 4 down conversions went on to score more points than any offense in the Super Bowl era. I love all your shows Kevin, & I’ve always felt that your voice is the voice of so many of our fans, especially the 40+ crowd who grew up in the glory years & have spent most of their adult life with ZERO sustained Skins success. We had false hope a couple times (Gibbs 2.0, RG III’s ‘12 season, & Jay’s years 2-4 but we couldn’t field a defense), but nothing compares to this year & the excitement towards our future now that WE finally the next QB GOAT.
-
jiffyhippoWhy SwearCompletely unnecessary.

RaleighfjhCommanders to the NFC Championship!Kev, I am seeing a path to the NFC Championship game. By the ‘Skins, Packers and Rams winning this weekend that puts the ‘Skins at the Rams which may be in Arizona again, a total home game for us! I will be driving from New Mexico to make sure of it! We smoke the Rams and then come back to host the Packers in the NFC championship game…
-
jrbpit#More SainristilMikey was great. Gave you a great interview. Look forward to hearing from him in the future.

Daniel from GambrillsReferee Crew impact on playoff gameAbsolutely enjoy the show! Would love to hear your thoughts on the officiating crew and their tendencies for the wild card game and how it may impact the gameplan and strategy, especially when it comes to lineman and DB calls.

Darryl De MarzioOur Redskins North StarI’ve been a Redskins fan ever since I was 5 years old. Born and raised in the shadows of Giants stadium, there was just something about the burgundy and gold, the logo, and the electricity of Riggo running 66yds to put us up 13 late in the 4th, and the heartbreak of a 35-34 season ending loss to Dallas—I was hooked for life. Now in my 50s, having moved to Thom’s old stomping grounds in Scranton, PA, and recently to Rhode Island, what has kept me close to the football team—not just informed, but passionate, has been the Kevin Sheehan show. Kevin is like that football fan neighbor you always wanted: Monday morning on your way to work? you can talk to him about what you liked and didn’t like about Sunday’s game; Tuesday and Thursday you want to have a beer and a cigar? head over to Shelley’s with Kevin and his old pal Thom to talk old movies and relive the Gibbs glory years; Is it Friday and you’ve pulled in to the driveway after a grueling work week? There’s Kevin with a few wager tips he likes to call ‘The Smell Test’. Still traumatized by the Snyder era and can’t accept that we’ve REALLY found THE FRANCHISE QB? There’s Kevin to remind you that what you’re seeing is actually happening. In short, this is the best Redskins fan podcast out there and the SMARTEST NFL podcast out there. Hands down. Hail Kevin, Hail Thom, Hail Cooley, Hail Doc, and Hail to the Redskins. We’re on to Tampa.
-
Ha-Ha Clinton DicksCoach GrudenIt would be great if the team welcomed back Coach Gruden as an alum on a game day, as they have with former players. He’s clearly a fan of the team—he speaks about them using the “us” pronoun instead of “them.” And the current front office doesn’t hold stupid grudges as the former did. Love your show it’s my #1 podcast.

SammyD DC to DenverOk Fine - I Owe You Guys 🙏🔥🙏Ok fine - after all the innocent asks for a review and rating i’ll acquiesce as i’ve been listening to versions of your kind and insightful commentary on all things DC sports (mostly Skins) for I dunno - 10-15 years at this point. Went to HS at BCC with JP / Stern and Rosenberg - just saw JP at the Tampa game a bit back and last year in Denver. That’s my guy. MORE COOLEY. Tell him i’ll Venmo / Zelle whatever his going rate is for him to come on more. Not even kidding……. The world is on fire we need more Cooley, Tommy, and yourself to Mellow it out a bit. Thanks for all the beautiful distractions over the years. If I could give you 20 stars I gladly would. -Sammy D DC transplant in Denver.

CoachDavidSaurJayden brings dad back!Born and raised on Skins football. Dad is from Bethesda, we lived in Baltimore all my life so tough 18 years being a skins fan until moving for college. From 0-18 every Sunday was Skins football. Right after the RGIII year my dad stopped caring, when the name / branding changed he was done. As a college basketball coach of 17 years now living in Pittsburgh your podcast is my #1 go to when in the car to gym / recruiting trips keeping me connected to the team. Don't think I've missed a show in 4 years. Since Jayden's Bengals primetime showing my dad has been all in. Back consuming everything Skins and watching every game. Even wanted a Daniels jersey for XMas! lol Thank you for your work, even Thom is on board so I know this is special! #HTTR

C85ceoRFK site!Kevin & Thom! Great show! Been listening for years! Big fan. But Kevin please stop calling RFK stadium armory “downtown” I know you from Bethesda 🤣 but you have to know RFK is located almost East of the River. Also RFK and Northwest field are 11 traffic lights from each other. They actually sit off the same street. E. Capitol /central ave. I grew up in Marshall heights directly in between both. Development at either site would benefit the ppl in that east of the river area and PG county. TBH fed ex site offer much more space and opportunity for something great than a residential neighborhood off 17th street & East Capitol. Love the show 🦾‼️

Redskins 4everBlack Jesus IIKevin, Redskins revival resurrection’s Messiah needs to be protected. Please please please, load up on top notch O - linemen!!! JD can make any O player elite or better so let’s keep JD upright and UNHURT. Also load up on top notch D - linemen!! We can’t possibly make our LBs, DBs, & Safety’s better fast enough while BJII is already an elite QB! Old saying and cliche BUT a great season is won down in the trenches…. Your podcast is the only one I listen to.. keep it up!!! HTTR.

Jimmy CresceK-DawgSimply put Kevin Sheehan is an absolute stud. His ability to work the mic is unmatched. This man does not miss. Through the few highs and the many lows, Kevin’s insight regarding all things Washington football keeps us all sane. Thank you for blessing our ears kind sir.
-
Stanley Ellis EvansBelichickSup Kevin! Hope you're doing well and the family. So, i believe this is a genius move for college football and the NFL. I mean, the guy's been talking about starting some sort of developmental program for the NFL, and who better to lead the charge than Belichick himself? It's all about prepping players for the big leagues, and let's be real, it's gonna make for some fantastic football. And who knows, maybe other coaches will jump on the bandwagon, Pete Carroll? maybe Saban comes back? Im curious about the possibilities for college football. What's your take on this move? First time writing you but a long time listener and die hard Washington fan. Love your show, you guys always bring the funny and the insight.

Nick Haas 29HTTC from NJSkins fan from Jersey and was inspired to leave a review after all the Soto talk (Also a massive Mets fan who’s over the moon). Just to clarify on the Soto opt out the opt out after 5 years can be voided if the Mets agree to up his AAV from 51 per year to 55 per year (can you tell I want him in NY the rest of his career) Been a long time fan of the pod, and being from NJ there are not too many people to talk to the team with near home. So instead I talk to Kevin, Thom, and all the other numerous guests (Stanford Steve being my favorite) in the car everyday. I appreciate the rationality throughout all the awful years with Snyder and company, and the optimism now as it feels like we finally have our team back. Being a 26 year old fan, there hasn’t been a whole lot to cheer about during my lifetime but it seems like they finally got the QB, GM, and HC right. I’m thrilled that my favorite part of the season, no longer has to be forcing myself to get excited for meaningless roster turnover during the offseason. Appreciate the hard work as always Kev. Hail!

Mo Amir VAAwesome ShowBest sports talk show in town. Kevin is very professional, informative and entertaining. Love his insights.
-
CP0318Love this podcast!I am not a Commanders/Redskins fan. I am actually a Dallas fan. I think because I am in the DC area one day I turned on to listen to sports and found Al, Cooley, Doc, Tommy, & Kevin. I was sad when they changed everything on 980. I recently found Kevin’s podcast. I love it. Now I’m listen to Al’s and will found Cooley’s. Keep up good work Kevin. I love listening to you and Tommy so funny.
-
Ben_GalleGreat podcastI Love to hear the latest Washington football news from Kevin. I enjoy enjoy the great guests and perspectives Kevin has on the show.

SlingerNealKeeps me informed on DC sportsKevin Sheehan produces high quality, entertaining podcasts and I am a regular listener. I grew up in the DC area (Bowie, MD), but have been away for many years due to my time serving on active duty in the Army. Kevin keeps me informed of everything that is going on with the DC sports scene and I love listening to his podcasts. His coverage of the Skins/WFT/Commanders is top notch in his analysis. Keep up the great work, Kevin!
-
oh spasm headGreatest podcastGreat podcast even for a broken cowboy fan
-
CkeensReviewHave listened to Kevin since he was with Riggo, the only podcast I listen to on a regular basis. This is an old school show that talks about the actual sports that are being played which is refreshing. I also gamble and I like the smell test segment as well. Thom is hilarious and very knowledgeable and when these two argue it’s even funnier. When Cooley comes on his film breakdowns are great as well, I love gruden on Fridays too. Keep up the good work fellas.

L-Rod in AZA D.C.-Maryland treasureI grew up with the Washington football team in Silver Spring, Md. back in the ‘60s-‘70s. I now live in Phoenix. Kevin’s podcast is a welcome link to all the sporting news from D.C. and Maryland. Always extremely well-done commentary from Kevin and Thom. Keep up the great work! - Larry in Arizona
