    Gold
For photographers that have never listened to Steve’s show or only pick and choose episodes based on the topic, you’re missing out on the chance to see how outstanding artists and practitioners approach their craft and think through problems. I find gold nuggets in every episode. As an example, I have no particular interest in Macro photography, but Steve’s interview with Joey Terrill was just loaded with helpful advice that was applicable to any genre. I’ve been a long time listener and find this to be regularly true - I come away from virtually every episode having learned *something*. Keep up the good work, Steve!

    Listening vs Seeing
Steve Brazill could describe a Canon Manual Table of Contents and make it sound interesting! If you have only heard the podcast, I encourage you to check out the video version and see how he connects with his guests! Then the icing on the cake is seeing the images Steve so brilliantly describes! Big Thank You to Steve for bringing us such great content!

    Superb Stuff
This is my favorite podcast, and not just for photography. I discovered it by accident while searching for something else and feel like I’ve found a friend. Or maybe it’s just that it always seems like I’m eavesdropping on something special in each of Steve Brazill’s conversations with his talented guests. If you’re passionate about photography, you'll find this podcast/YouTube show fascinating, guaranteed.

Insightful and Educational, a must for every photographer
I’ve been listening to this podcast for a few years now. With each episode, I’ve learned so much from the guests spanning different genres of photography. It’s an insightful look into the mind of the photographer on the given shot. This unique approach is unlike any other podcast (audio or video) and offers valuable information about shooting a particular scene. Steve does an exceptional job in asking questions that the listener would be thinking as he interviews his guests. His ability to draw out details from his guests adds to the value of the shows content. If you’re looking for a different kind of photography podcast, this is it. It’s definitely not your typical gear review or soapbox highlighting his own work (although, he could easily spend a few episodes talking about a few of his own shots). The show offers an audio only and a video version as well. I like listening to the show while driving then watching it at my leisure to see the shot and the details they explain. An added bonus is Steve’s radio voice which makes for a pleasant listening experience.

    Enjoyable and Informative
What I love about this podcast is that Steve invites a variety of photographers to join him and explain a terrific capture they have made. Everything from live music, sports, landscape and portraiture is covered. Steve is really thoughtful in how he walks creators through their process in ways that will help you think better as a photographer about your own creative process. Substantively terrific, and also well produced. One of my go to listens each week.

    In-depth Behind the Lens
I love podcasts where the interviewer/host doesn’t sound like they are interviewing their guest. I became absorbed in the conversation. Steve Brazil listens and asks the questions I would ask, and questions I did not realize I wanted to know the answers to. So thorough! On top of all that greatness Steve dissects photos interestingly seeing beyond what the average Person sees. Steve brings out the best in a guest and has a good sense of humor to keep the technical deep topics entertaining. Great podcast worth subscribing to.

    B&B! Bergman & Brazill Baby!
Steve Brazill just keeps taking it up a notch. The last two episodes with Mr. David Bergman and Sam Abell undeniably confirm that Steve's "Behind the shot" podcasts showcase the artists worth listening to are talking to Steve. I'm mentioning these last two episodes just in case whoever reads this can sample the wide variety of guests that Steve regularly interviews. These two episodes highlight the artists' process, both technical and creative. The shows are both fun and informative. My week is not complete if I haven't listened to this weekly show. YOU TOO WILL BE HOOKED.

    Awesome photography podcast.
Steve Brazill loves photography. When Steve dissects a photo, he dives in head first. It’s impossible not to get caught up in his appreciation for the art form.

    Steve is the man
If you want to have both the visual candy of stunning photographs broken down by the radio voice god that contends with that of Morgan Friedman's March of the Penguins movie, look no further.

    Thoughtful and inspirational
I’m glad I found this podcast where Steve not only covers the techniques of the shot but the story in the development of the shot. This podcast has branched me out to further learning and experimentation! Keep up the good job!!

    Behind the Shot Podcast
As a fairly new photographer, I really enjoy listening and watching Behind The Shot! Steve and his guest break apart an image down to the bare bones. This is so great for new photographers because it lets us know the process behind the techniques and the artist’s thinking. I’ve learned so much from Steve and his guests!! :) ~ Sherra/My Living View

    Great informative podcast!
Steve Brazill, whom I initially heard as a guest host on "Photo Geek Weekly" is an engaging, knowledgeable, and enthusiastic host that gets behind the scenes of a particular photo, asking his talented photographer guests interesting questions about methods, motivation, creative decisions, and other aspects. I mostly listen to podcasts while driving to work, often the only free time I have, and despite the fact that I almost never see the photo, I still get quite a lot out of the discussions. Excellent podcast.

    Inspirational
How a photographer thinks and what they are looking for, seeing, is a lot more informative than what kind of equipment they are using. If you want to understand how a moving photo is truly made this podcast will inform you.

    Inspiring
I love to hear how other photographers found their inspiration and the stories behind how and why an image was made. This motivates me to get out and create. Stepping away from the ttraditional "how to" and diving into the cretive side of photography as an art form. Brilliant!

So awesome, even as a non-photographer!
If you appreciate art, you will appreciate this podcast. At first I thought I might have to be a photographer to understand the subject matter, but when I started listening I realized that this is a podcast for everyone. The host brings on some brilliant and talented guests and we get a behind-the-scenes (or shot?) take on what it’s really like to be a world class photographer. Very very cool. Highly recommended.
