Audio needs adjusted, blew my stereo speakers
I love the podcast, however, compared to all other podcasts I listen to, the audio in this one is way too loud. I understand that Brian is an audio engineer for heavy metal music, however, heavy metal has never blown my speakers. I recently replaced my speakers in my car and now I must replace them again. I actually heard the speaker blow during the intro to a recent episode when one podcast ended and this one started. Even if I listen through earbuds, I have to turn the audio way down every time I listen to this podcast. Otherwise, thank you for everything you share Brian! I love the podcast and I’ve learned so much since I started listening.

    INCREDIBLE
So many gems, so much knowledge each and every episode. Since the very first podcast until the most recent one, you guys have not disappointed. You guys are my Go-To for these types of conversations. Thank you guys for what you do and keep the great work!

    These guys are the best.
This is basically the most solid podcast there is for running a home music studio. They strictly focus on the business aspect without talking about gear and what you think you need to be successful. It was originally called The Six Figure Home Studio but they changed it to The Six Figure Creative to accommodate other types of creative businesses, since it all goes hand in hand. Great to listen to on the regular, or start from the beginning and binge.

    No longer good.
This podcast was decent early on but has since jumped the shark badly and has reduced itself to associating with dishonest grifters in a desperate attempt for more content when it should really just go away now.

Like to see more from smaller artists
Lots of really strong business advice here, and tons of concepts that are universally valuable to all artists! But, the general vibe is always pushing creatives that are trying to take over the world-many of the case studies and interviews focus on businesses that are trying to go for multiple six figures, and I don’t find that relevant for most artists. I get sad when I hear these guests coming on that are obviously used to never ever turning the hustle off while they build these giant businesses. I would like to see more tips relevant to smaller artists who maybe just want to build a small lifestyle business that allows them creative freedom-having modest ambitions is perfectly ok, but I’m not sure the hosts would agree. I’d like to see a focus on a more balanced creative lifestyle be put forward just as much as the guy who’s trying to start the next big creative tech platform. The vibe here sometimes comes off as “growth at all costs”, despite the hosts statements to the contrary.

The spark of light I needed.
This podcast is the most encouraging, inspiring, and uplifting podcast in existence today. I decided to start a home studio. Bought some gear over time while I was learning. After a bit over a year, I have a home studio setup. Now what? Do you record your own songs? Do you get clients? How? Everywhere else you can find a small mixing trick that is most of the time irrelevant by itself unless in context of a mix. Well, this podcast was what I really needed. I have wasted so much time doing nothing and relearning the same thing over and over. Brian and Chris basically pushed me to open my studio for outsiders and built my portfolio. Let’s see how it goes from now on. As long as Brian and Chris keep encourage me, I will hustle until I make it happen. Thanks a million!

    Changed My Life
Man, I’ve never been into podcasts at all, but this one absolutely changed my life for the better. Highly recommended for anyone in the music industry, not even necessarily just producers!

Learn the business side to owning a studio
I never pretended that I knew how to run my studio business. I was fortunate that I developed skills to produce music for clients. However, managing the business maintained so much mystery and therefore I suffered (from stress and anxiety), as did the business. That is, until I discovered this podcast. I wish I had this resource to turn to in the early naughts when I really started my own studio. But it didn’t exist. No matter where you are in developing your business, recording studio or any creative racket, I bet that you, too, have significant vacancies in your knowledge of running a business and implore you to start tuning in so you can save your business or at least improve upon it. Listening to this podcast led me to its creator’s webinar that led me to take the Profitable Producer course. For all of this, I feel grateful, like I stepped into a world of guidance that, even in middle age, only hoped for over the decades. So, young folks take advantage. This is the kick in the pants that all of us creators need. TalentCraft.space

    Must listen to podcast !!!
Hey Brian I’ve been listening to this podcast for a while now. I’m still behind in the months as I started from episode one. Currently I’m on episode 116. Fun fact. When you aired your outro saying that you were in Chiangmai Thailand. I also was in Chiangmai. I live in China and I’m a sound engineer coincidentally was also in Thailand when Covid-19 hit. Spent January- March in Thailand. Crazy that you probably were in the same area as I and I didn’t know. Anyways. Keep up the good work. Finally leaving a review five stars hands down.

As a musician with a day job who aspires to start my dream business of owning my own tracking studio, this podcast could hardly be more valuable to me. In a couple of weeks, and after only 5 or 6 episodes (which also led me to start Brian’s course), I have gone from considering my idea a pipe dream to plotting exactly how I’m going to make it happen.

    Gold for All
The content in this series is gold for any entrepreneur, but especially for those in the creative arts. The starving artist is a myth, and Brian and Chris masterfully dismantle any excuse you have for not making a living from your home studio. Great work, guys! I’m a new listener, blazing through the backlog as fast as possible. Keep up the great work!

    Well done!
Great resource for entrepreneurs well done guys.

Listen past the first few episodes
I was disappointed by the second episode. The interview of the host was kind of non useful, as it seems like he kind of got a golden ticket to recording. Some of us unfortunetly didnt go to school or start of knowing or meeting people in the industry. I will say that the take away is to take almost all the opportunities you can while you are first starting. Dont say no to projects and always put your self out there. As far as a business stand point the latter episodes are quite useful, definitely worth a listen just make sure you are in it to win it!

Better than any paid class you'll ever take
honestly can't believe they give such awesome advice away for free. strongly recommend.

    Just the facts PLEASE
Podcasts like this drive me nuts. It’s an hour long podcast with 15 minutes of useful information passed by 45 min of useless banter about nothing. You could’ve just made a really slick, informative 15 min podcast.
  • The Beat Juggernauts
    The Reality of Practicality
I am a music producer working on turning my business, skills and talents into a full-time income. The information that Chris and Brian discuss reaches further than just engineers and can be adapted into any avenue that you seek to excel in. Brian is rubbing alcohol and Chris is peroxide. Brian makes no apologies for the sting but he’s going to get to the root of the wound and he’s willing to kill to heal. Chris will clean the wound with advice, anecdotes and words of encouragement and you know that it’s working because you can see the bubbles. If you are not hooked on this podcast and on your way to becoming a better whatever it is that you do after listening to any two episodes here, you should seriously consider being first in line for the zombie apocalypse. Perhaps you might become successful at mindlessly dying. For the rest of us, listen and apply this First-aid, clean your wounds, make new scars and shine on...
