SafetyForKidsDon’t blame New Jersey for Jersey Shore!Love you to death! All good things come with listening to your podcast- I laugh and learn so much. But as a New Jersey resident I want to remind you that no one on Jersey Shore was from New Jersey! They were all from Staten Island. 🤷♀️Don’t blame New Jersey. We all hated that show! 🤣

NeamhainHAbsolute LegendHands-down the best podcast I’ve ever listened to. Blindboy is an amazing storyteller with a brilliant mind, comic genius, and his passion for music and audio fidelity makes this the epitome of the “podcast hug.” It’s a treat for the heart, the mind, and the ears. I’ve listened to every back episode, and tune in every week. Even the episodes where you read the title and think “that sounds boring” I promise it won’t be. Absolutely brilliant.

Mama_of_2_GamerA podcast hugI love listening to this podcast before bed. He always helps me get my mind off the stress of the modern world and settle in to a relaxed state.
-
WhyadamnnicknameI learn something new and I love itThis podcast fills a longing I didn’t know existed. Funny, interesting, introspective, soothing even if the topics are heavy, and the meandering journey of each episode just hits all the right spots for me. Its a little unfortunate because no other podcast compares and I only want to listen to this one :)

Koolkel617So thankful for this podcast!I’m not really sure how I found this podcast, but I’m so thankful that I did. Blindboy’s voice soothes my stress and his brain fascinates me. I started just listening before sleep as it relaxes me, but now I listen throughout the day. I’ve learned so much and learning is my very favorite thing!

A_typicalStart at The Beginning To Better Understand The LoreI am a fan of the decorative arts, and I was following a wallpaper maker called Timorous Beasties on Instagram. They collaborated with Blindboy on the cover of his book Topographica Hibernica. I was immediately lured into the warren of episodes and I have never turned back. The journey here is truly the destination. Thanks Blindboy for sharing your story.
-
Mr. MalcolmsYes, you are loved in the US!The Blindboy does everything I like about fake radio (podcasts) -thoughtful, funny, bizarre, open hearted, free thinking, and real. I started listening a few years ago and ignored the advice to go back and listen to earlier episodes to familiarize myself with the lore of the show. It didn’t do me any harm. I highly recommend listening if you’re interested in creativity, history, mental health, the absolute chaos of being a person, or if you just like hearing someone be effortlessly brilliant behind a microphone.

deszatHits all the spotsI could listen to you talk about anything. Your voice is just lovely. Being American I just adore your accent. And then there is your humor and then your knowledge and your thoughts - all combined just wrap all together to hit all the spots. My Brit friend sent me your podcast to listen to and I am so happy he did!

monihan monihanLike that tina turner power balladEvery era has a handful of important creative minds making stuff. Some eras definitely have more than others. Sadly our era is somewhat slim, probably due to market forces and algorithms. But at least we are living during the time of Blindboy. One of the few things making our present moment bearable.
-
@thisisnotaidanWonderful podcastBlindboy is a treasure of a mind and prodigious storyteller. I adore this podcast.

nakh1970The star of LimerickFantastically entertaining, great story teller . Have read the short stories, truly mind boggling. Endlessly talented. Up the Dubs !!!

My name is BooMad love to Blindboy. You help people think deeper. It’s easy to get lost in life. I want to say especially adult life but it happens at all ages. We tend to forget who we are, what we like, what interest us, in a - go and get world. We turn into drones for a cause we don’t know why we ever believed or even remember what it was. Meaning gets lost. If you are here in this stage of life. Listen to this podcast and find yourself again. That’s my takeaway. I’m inquisitive always have been. Forgot I was. Just functioned. Moved through it. Now finding again my interest. Finding that I love science, history, other cultures and art and life. I enjoy making connections in everything. This podcast will remind you. We all need it throughout our lives. So we don’t get lost in the machine.

carrie lincourtThe lineage of Joe FrankThis is great art. No doubt. I wonder if he knows about Joe Frank.

Liz7309Blindboy has truly changed my lifeI look forward to each week with him and can’t imagine life without his podcast hug.
-
R.J. MusashiMy favorite podcast! While I have several podcasts I listen to, this one is my absolute favorite. It’s a human, kind, interesting, funny, thoughtful and informative listen. I appreciate that Blindboy gives his straight opinions without holding back and takes the time to look into his subject matter. The randomness of it adds to the interest factor as well, at least for me. Thanks Blindboy!
-
MegLeigh12A treasureEach episode brings so much to me. They go so quickly. The latest with the Midas recounting had me in tears like a goob as if I hadn’t heard that story tons of times.
-
FormernytapuserMy very favorite podcastEntertaining, thoughtful, compassionate and ridiculous all at once. Perfect.
-
Ross7785Food for the soul!Blindboy is Purrreeee Smart!
-
K339002Entertaining but beware of his political leaningsI’ve listened since the start but lately it’s been a bit tougher to keep it up. Far left delusions presented as facts are not what you want from your podcasts. Particularly as someone who’s emigrated to the US, it’s weird to hear some of his views on things like Israel and capitalism. I’m well aware that Ireland is a bit of a cultural backwater and prone to echo whatever the lefty US media is saying at the moment but at the same time, cmon man, try to look at things with some nuance.
-
EnajazileConsistently BrilliantCurrent episode with NaomiKlein is a must listen Bravo

Adkgirl4it's craic!Found this podcast in the New York Times and I'm a podcast addict, this has now become one of my favorites, I recommend to everyone. Like my other favorites, it's like hanging out with your most interesting friend and listening to them ramble on, in the best way and I always learn something. Keep it up! kiss kiss kiss

-
Tee927Ridiculously EntertainingAs a Yank (with about 13% Irish blood) I wasn't sure what to expect when a friend recommended this podcast but it was one of the most enjoyable and informative and insanely funny podcasts I've listened to. (Started with "It'll Be Grand" and can't wait to dig into more...)
-
Maureen 99Napper Tandy, not Nepirtandi?Aside from my disorientation over Blindboy’s cat’s name (which I convinced myself to be named after an unknown Egyptian goddess), I am absolutely obsessed with the hot takes and beautiful folklore!
-
Karaokegal64Unique voice, passionate viewsSomething’s scathing commentary and sometimes nearly surreal images of life in Ireland. The episodes covering the pandemic give great insight as to what life was like in a place outside my USA urban bubble. I love his wit, his anger, his honesty about mental issues and addictions. I just have to be careful where I’m listening because he can be delightfully profane. Take his advice and start with earlier episodes, but definitely dive in at some point.
-
SulisnapzBrilliant. Thoughtful. Joyful. Dark. Hilarious.Started listening to a few of the newest episodes. Pure joy. Now starting from the start. Getting to listen to Blindboy read his short stories in his own voice is an f-ing experience not to be missed.
-
ProchazkaPerfect.Astute, humorous, insightful, honest, informative. What else do you need?
-
SlyMooseThe StandardAs so many of us were, I was guided to Blindboy due to his exceptional ability to talk about mental health. Being my first podcast I’ve been absolutely spoiled. I was probably 100 episodes into this podcast before I tried other, and I cannot handle how many inundated with ads. For that alone this podcast is a must listen.
-
The Chorley LadOutstandingThis lad puts a lot of work into his podcasts yet makes it look like he is rambling on. Effortlessly providing ‘hot takes’ or interpretations and insights on a boatload! ….of different topics. Very compelling listening. Fair play for speaking from the heart and talking about his own issues and providing a voice for others.. Now l am rambling. Well worth a listen, funny, intelligent young man. Great stories and insights. One of the best things l have heard. Yurt!! Eddiebaby.
-
crea...I love this man!His intelligence, comedic takes on art while slightly high, air b&b’s, Marge Thatcher, encourage positive mental health tips, all while fighting injustice make my days so much brighter. I want to help contribute as soon as I’m back on my feet.
-
Ted_ShredsSatisfied my Deepest DesiresThis podcast has satiated my thirst for intellectual stimulation and given me a deep warm podcast hug. Blindboy’s insight, wit, humor, and outlook on life create a most welcoming and enjoyable listener experience.
-
BedpimpLong time listener, first time callerI was familiar with the rubberbandits craic, had heard about the podcast, and saw Blindboy at Body & Soul in 2018. I mostly lived at the stage when I wasn’t supporting the skeleton crew of KCC that year. (Those kids are in for a surprise in a few years when they realize what they saw!) Blindboy kept me connected with my adopted family through the pandemic. This podcast helps keep my head straight on top of everything else. Podcast hug, neurodivergence, attachment theory, and so many other things have shaped me and are part of my life now.
-
