    Love Mike Rowe’s podcast!
I just finished listening to Mike’s interview with David Bahnsen and found it fascinating and inspiring. I was delighted to hear Mike mention A Message to Garcia! My husband, a retired US Army 3-star General, used to make the Lieutenants in his battalion read that essay when he was a Lt. Col. Thankful to Mike for bringing it up in this conversation. So apropos! And also grateful to have this old memory come rushing back when I heard him discuss the essay. (Battalion command was quite a while ago!) I hope David B reads Hubbard’s essay! This episode was a delight to listen, as always!

    Six stars
I gave Mike’s podcast a five because I couldn’t give it a six. He brings a few celebrities, although not many and the ones he has are more than just a pretty face. His guest are profound, insightful, intelligent and always brings about a moment of “wow, I’ve never thought of that”? Or, man…that’s pondering on food for the soul (most of the time there is no pondering, it’s good food for your soul) The episodes with his mother is some of my favorite and every show has humor galore. Is he my favorite? Yes, 100%. Enough said.

Refreshing to hear Common Sense again!
A true American who shares his talents of communication and expressiveness. Also, not scared to discuss the poisons in this country (aka, CRT, Stakeholder mentality, etc… (insert acronym here) ) which we must defeat to move forward as Americans!

    Entertaining, Thought-provoking, and Memorable
Mike and Chuck do a fantastic job when choosing and talking with their guests. I look forward to all their new episodes as the ones I’ve listened to a wonderful combination of entertaining, thought- provoking, and memorable. Also happy to support American companies they’ve highlighted like MKC and GORUCK. Thank you and keep up the great work, guys!

Absolutely fantastic for young men to listen to. And, the music convinced me to put this in. I never leave reviews.

    Slowly Falling Off
I’ll always love Mike Rowe! Just his demeanor voice and good conversation. But here’s another interview where you side step the stupidity happening right now with the trumpsterfire tariffs. Not one mention while talking to a guy that guaranteed lost millions last week but ya really don’t want to bring up the reality of his disaster. Self censoring under the blanket of fake Christiantrumpism.

    Informative and Entertaining
Mike is great! Bright, thoughtful and entertaining. Great discussions with the guests and Chuck. Advertisers that I have or do check out with some that I now have done business.

    Wonderful
As always, Mike amazes me in everything he does! His tact, combined with sarcasm, in equal doses, while never seeming to insult, is a true gift!

    Awesome podcast 👌🏻
This is one of the best if not the best podcast I’ve listened to. I enjoy the interview style that the podcast is done in and the people included and I really enjoyed the Tim Allen episode. All together a great podcast that I would recommend for anyone I know.

    Thank you
I absolutely love your pod cast. So much garbage in the news and on tv these days, I just can’t stand it. Yet every episode of your pod cast is informative, positive and enlightening. Thank you!

    Always Fun
Mike has a down to earth, easy, interesting way of getting the most out of his guests. He keeps the show fun but he gets the guests to open up about a variety of interesting topics in each podcast. Thanks! Best interview of Joey Jones that I have ever heard. Great Work Mike! The podcast with Gary Sinise should be in the Podcast Hall of Fame. You did a terrific job. I wish everyone in the country could listen to that show.

    Thanks Mike
You keep it real. I retired this year from service and I completely subscribe to your philosophy about the importance of work. Doesn’t matter if your guests are CEO’s , accomplished actors, or tradesmen. It’s always good to hear real people talk about life. Thank you for hours of entertainment and enlightenment.

    Gary Sinise-Showing Up
One of the best podcasts Mike has done. Tears, lots of tears, incredibly beautiful music and a relation of a father’s journey losing a son. Worth every minute of your time to listen.

    Ok I’m an idiot
I’m late to the party.....but better late than ever, right? I love this pod. Of course I know Mr. Rowe from Deadliest Catch. This pod, however, is a treasure. Just the right time, just the right vibe. The ever present twist ending keeps me on the edge. Yes, whether I’m walking a dog, driving, shaving, dropping a deuce or, well, living my life when I’m busy making other plans ....I love it! Mike - can a 50 yr apply for a scholarship on your site? Do tell. *****Update*****Just no to the new format. I have a short attention span. What was I typing about? Oh yeah, just no to the new format.

Another Amazing Interview. This Man is Unlike any Other. After listening to the Podcast, I Downloaded his Son’s music on Spotify. Then, I ordered the first Album from the Web site. It’s truly a great Listen. Thank You Chuck, Gary and Mike. We are all Blessed for the things you do. And may Chuck still have a Job next Week.

    Positivity without being cheesy
When I started listening to this podcast, I only listened to the guests/episodes that “seemed interesting” to me (of course, these always included the ones with Peggy :) , but I quickly realized I wanted to hear more. Mike & Chuck consistently have guests that are out there working hard and doing their best, and through this, hoping to elevate others to do the same. But it’s not cheesy, I promise. I find the interviews thought provoking and fun, and I seem to learn something even if I didn’t intend to.

Enjoyed listening to Mike Albrecht and wife. Hopefully the current administration is working with his group. Keep up the good work! Give your producer a big fat raise.

    Thought provoking and fun!
I learn all sorts of interesting things when I listen to The Way I Heard it. Guests that make me think, sometimes deeply about a topic, the joy of wondering about something and then Mike asking a question that touches on that very thought. It’s a fun, engaging and educational conversation EVERY time! Thanks Mike and Chuck for sharing with the world

    Quintin Schultze
I love it when Mike brings back NEW STORYS. The immersive interview with Quintin about the story teller Jean Shepherd makes me feel like I was born in the wrong generation. Storytelling is a lost art these days due to increasingly popularity of Facebook reels and short attention spans. And this episode makes me want to try my hand at storytelling. So much so, I actually had to pause the episode and go to the link and buy Quintin’s book from Amazon. Beautiful episode with humor that they over delivered. And I’m all for it. Here’s to you, Mike Rowe. :)

    Best Commercials
I know podcasts need commercials to pay the bills. This podcast mostly does them great with all the harmony. It keeps me from the fast forward button.

LIKE ROGAN BUT W/O THE F-BOMBS
Thank you, Mike Rowe, for such an informative podcast. I always learn something new when I listen to you, just as I do with Joe Rogan. But sometimes I have to turn him off when he gets too juvinial with the double meaning comnents and the F-Bombs. I NEVER have to turn you off!!! “You’re momma brung you up right!!!”

    Tim Allen episode
One of the absolute best! I loved this one so much. Moved from awe to laughter a dozen times!

    I love the show!
Mike and Chuck thanks for putting a great quality podcast. I have been listening since you started. I have read your book and I love your stories. Can’t wait till your next book😁 The show reminds me of listening to Paul Harvey with my grandpa in his business. My gramps was hands on and handy with tools. He was a WWII vet and built his own house after the war. He taught me how to use, respect, and appreciate tools and the people who work with tools! The memories of my grandpa reminds me of the relationship you had with yours Mike. I love the conversations you have with your guests and I love your passion for the trades. I especially love the episodes with Salena Zito, your mom, Rob Lowe, and Brian Kilmeade to name a few. I’m a retired special ed teacher and it gave me great joy seeing a lot of my very capable students peruse the trades. Keep up the great work you do! Your loyal listener and hopefully a friend from Michigan! Cary G.

    Addictive
If you happen to listen to one of these podcasts and find it interesting (which is most of them as far as I’m concerned), you will find yourself to be addicted. This is not a bad thing however as you will probably learn something and be entertained all at the same time. Thanks Mike and Chuck.

    PCH….who knew?!?!
Another great show, Mike & Chuck 😝 I used to faithfully enter PCH sweepstakes. I never got the magazine subscriptions but sometimes I ordered those cool gadgets. They don’t do mailings anymore, everything is strictly online….and that has become annoying! Even though they say you don’t have to make a purchase to enter you are bombarded with ads to buy things then there’s even more contests. Anyway, you guys are the best and your interviews always make my week 🥰 Toni B., Cumberland, VA

“The Way I Heard It, Balls of many Shapes, and Sizes”
"Life-changing. Game-changing. Ball-changing. I came for a podcast and left with a newfound appreciation for balls. Footballs, meatballs, wrecking balls-Mike Rowe somehow finds a way to make them all fascinating. I laughed, I learned, and I even reconsidered my stance on bocce. If you like stories with a twist, history with humor, and just the right amount of ball-related content, 'The Way I Heard It' is the podcast for you. Five stars, two thumbs up, and a slow clap for the spherical wonders of the world."

    Great interviewer
Mike is a really good interviewer. Has interesting guests whom he lets talk. While he doesn't get in the way of the interviewee, he always has great participation and questions. And he's the kind of guy you'd love to have lunch with regularly. This podcast is the next best thing. Listen to it while you eat lunch
  • Dasinterwebs
    Funny, insightful, and unique
I like Mike, like his perspective, like the eclectic diversity of his guests, and most importantly, I *love* the four-part harmony he sings with himself during some of his add breaks; I actually listen to them instead of skipping ahead! The latest one where he sing-begs for reviews made me laugh out loud, and so here I am.
  • DbTruth
    No fence sitting
What I like about Mike and his guests is the truth is spoken. Not left or right political jargon but straight up truth. Topics are well explained and allow you to make a qualified decision of your own. I’ve shared several of the podcasts with friends and relatives, some which have their heads up their arses. Trying to “educate” them in Mikes world is easier and more impactful than doing it myself. Thank you for enlightening me and entertaining those of us who live the best we can in truth in a world of twisted lies and fake news. Keep up your humor too.
