    Pulls back the curtain!
I’m 25 episodes in, cherry picking bands I know, sprinkling in the chronological (& able to stand on their own episodes) too. This show covers so much! How bands are made of people. What the industry can do to and for a musician. How time and location factor into the creative process (the wannabe anthropologist in me loves that bands & sounds are now logged as an oral history. Florida punk 🤘🏼). The last show I saw//near me only had 1 band (of 6) I actively enjoy but the available interviews from Shane were the perfect supplement to previewing music of genres not usually in my rotation.

    Please let the interviewee speak
I really love hearing about these guests and their experiences! Ultimately a cool podcast, but the interviewing could use some fine-tuning imho. In the Tades from HM episode especially, it was a lot of Shane cutting him off (and actually saying "I'm going to cut you off") and interjecting his own stories right after asking a question. Mad respect to Shane and his experiences, but it felt like a conversation flow killer, and it took a bit of time to get the back and forth volleying going again in the first half. Didn't feel like a conversation or interview, just some clunky in between. Still a really great podcast though.

    Life Saving Syndrome !
As a singer-songwriter myself, who has experienced highs and lows—I find it easy to relate to Shane and his guests on the show. To hear people talk about their aspirations and dreams similar to my own has been nothing short of uplifting and has saved me in a way. Music lovers will undoubtedly enjoy this podcast, which sheds a lot of light on the industry. For me, it’s even more personable getting to hear so many artists with likeminded viewpoints to my own. Thank you for an awesome podcast! 🤙🏼

One of the best podcast around!
If you love music then you will fall in love with lead singer syndrome. I absolutely adore Shane and love all the interviews. Of course I’m a huge Silverstein fan. I’m here for the nostalgia from when I was a teen listening to my favorite lead singers relive all the memories of touring during the peak of MySpace days and of course some of the best shows I ever attended. I really appreciate all the honesty and insight into some very raw topics that molded these amazing people. Give it a listen, you won’t be disappointed. If you love finding new music this is the way right here. Keep it up!!!

Unique take on a lead singer’s perspective
If you’re a music fan then you will absolutely enjoy this podcast. I love Shane 💜IMO he’s a talented singer and I’d listen to whatever he puts out regardless… not gonna lie, I started to listen because of him and my love for Silverstein’s music; however I ended up loving all the interviews some from bands I never even knew existed! I am only halfway through the episodes and can’t wait to hear the rest. It gave me a much clearer picture on bands making it, touring and the fact that it’s not all glitz and glam..after all they’re all humans like the rest of us! So cool to be able to hear all these stories 🤘🏼🖤

Losing my interest because of Mike
I used to really love this podcast. Shane is a great host and very knowledgeable about music. And I looked forward to the weekly release episodes but it’s becoming a little frustrating to listen to. Mike continuously talks over Shane and interrupts him and his attitude like he is THE authority on music, talking down on the classics of our scene that he was too young to even grow up with but praising unoriginal emo rap … ? It’s just really off putting and unwelcoming. I’m not sure how much longer I will be able to listen, which is unfortunate.

    Solid!
This has been a solid show in my podcast rotation since episode 1. Always look forward to who’s the next guest!

    Best band related podcast
I first found the podcast when I was looking up interviews for JT from Hawthorn Heights and I was blown away! I love watching music podcasts from all the genres related to Silverstein. Shane really does a great job I love his format which definitely has to do with him being a singer, there’s nothing worse then listening to an interview with the same boring questions like “how’s the tour going” or “when’s the next album coming out” or “was this album harder to write then the last album”. I’ve listened to a bunch of these podcasts and I can definitely say most every band he’s interviewed I’ve heard some information that no other interviewers have asked.

I don’t know how I’m just realizing this podcast exists but I scrolled all the way back and started from the beginning and I love hearing my favorite singers from my favorite bands. The conversations are so fluid, and every thing keeps me completely interested.

    Good Show
Been listening since the first show. Great listen, very illuminating. The fan interaction is fun too. I actually sent him an email with the suggestion for the name of the fans and he ended up keeping it.

    Stop
Stop talking about politics and COVID for the first 20 minutes of your podcast, there is significantly less people here that care about it than you think. Also I have a very, very hard time supporting a podcast that supports a disgusting family like the Biden’s. Ps nobody was in danger during “the previous administration”, open your eyes a bit more and your mouths a little less 👌

    Best Music Podcast
I’ve been a listener to this podcast for a while and love the casual yet professional interviews of all my favorite bands. However- I am writing a review because of my newfound love for the new segment This Is The New Sh*t. Life is crazy and busy and one thing I miss the most is keeping up with new releases and new bands. This segment is so well done and keeps me in the loop of all the great new stuff. Highly recommend!!

    From your Metal Social Worker
Hi everyone! I am a new listener to this podcast and I am super stoked about it! It was recommended to me by The Cozy Representative, which I am also new to watching on YouTube. So shout out to them! As soon as they mentioned the podcast, I instantly was drawn in by my all-time favorite band vocalists listed in the titles! I am dying to hear from Frankie Palmeri from Emmure, ex vocalist of Chelsea Grin, Alex Koehler, and Ronnie Radke from Falling In Reverse! I definitely would recommend to people who share this music interest and want to know more about the person behind the vocals, tattoos and hair. XD Shane and guests, thank you for becoming a new light in my life and inspiring the “metal social worker” within myself. Since seventh grade I’ve been obsessed with all metal! It is one of my biggest joys in life and has gotten me through difficult times. I’m hoping to create a podcast of my own soon! I would absolutely love your advice and guidance. :D I’m seriously jumping with excitement about all of this, especially since concerts due to covid are not happening right now. So this is the next greatest thing, honestly! ❤️ 🤟🏼 -Shelby D.

    Brings Me Back
I’m a newcomer to this pod, and I LOVE it! I got drawn in with the Ace Enders and immediately got sucked in the vortex of all my favorite bands from high school/college days. Now we need a Kenny Vasoli (The Starting Line/Person L/Vacationer) episode.

    New Appreciation for Old Favorites
I recently listened to an old episode with Cody Carson of Set It Off, I was fan from several years back but kinda stopped listening because I didn’t love their sound as they were developing. HOWEVER, listening to this episode convinced me to listen to their latest album with a very different perspective and I’ve quickly developed a fondness for it. Overall, I think this podcast brings a new perspective to the musicians and other parts of the industry. Thanks Shane!

    Jim Adkins
I’ve been following Jimmy Eat World since 2002 and this interview with Jim was by far the best one I’ve heard. Great questions were asked and Jim was his usual humble and humorous self. Loved hearing new spins on some old stories and also things about the band that I hadn’t heard before. It was a very fluid and comfortable interview with no awkward silences or moments. I have so much respect for Jim and Jimmy Eat World and hearing this really sealed the deal. Thank you 👍

    Doesn’t get better than this!
No doubt the best podcast out there. Shane Told as the host, come on, no way it could be better. Every episode is a deep dive into every question into what you want to know. Just amazing.

    Love it!! 🖤
Thank you for putting together this amazing collection of interviews. I discovered this podcast a few days ago, just after seeing Strike Anywhere and Hot Water Music play together in RVA. Needless to say, I was beyond happy to listen to your episodes with Thomas Barnett and Chuck Ragan. I totally agree with the suggestion of interviewing “the other Chris” Cresswell. If you could ever make it happen, it would be amazing to hear from Chris Wollard as well! ❤️

Coming across this podcast has been a game changer for my long drives. Getting to hear from artists that I used to listen to all the time in the early 2000s to now and get a real insight of where they came from and where they’re going is awesome. Loved LSS!

    Absolutely hooked!
It’s so great to get a little insight to your favorite lead singers, and I love how conversational it is- not like an interview with questions! Definitely a new favorite (plus I’m a HUGE Silverstein fan!)
